Anti-inflammatory medications are most commonly used to treat pain and swelling.

Some medications in this class include: Acetaminophen, Ibuprofen and Naproxen.

The dosage varies, depending on the condition being treated and which drug is being used.

They are contraindicated in patients that already have impaired liver or kidney function or an allergy to drugs in this class.
