Actavis Oxycodone-i Knew I Wasnt Crazy!

Have taken watson percocet for years (spinal fusions) and just asked the doc to drop down to x3 a day because pain was manageable. well I get this A333 oblong pill and get: no pain relief, anxiety with mood swings, constipation and indigestion with bloating! I have taken other manufacturers before...with no problems; this time? MAJOR ISSUES! Something isn't right.

Hi tracy,

You're not alone with regards to the weaker A333 pill. There are actually several threads here talking about this very topic. I haven't pinpointed what the problem is yet, but many people here seem to think that Actavis is using less active ingredients than what is listed on the label. Either that or they stuff their pills with so many binders & fillers that our bodies can barely absorb it.

One thing patients are doing is filing a complaint under the FDA's medwatch program at: fda.gov/Safety/MedWatch/HowToReport/ucm053091.htm

If enough people can voice their opinion with the FDA, they'll have no choice but to look into the problem.

In the meantime it may be best to ask your doctor about trying some other types of brands or generic options with a better reputation than Actavis. It's amazing how they've even managed to push so many of theses pills without getting a recall.
