And I've said it before I don't care if I stay on this the rest of my life if it keeps me clean!

BRAD: amen, brother. if its working for you, do it. i used to feel bad about it, always trying to lower my dose in an effort to work towards getting off of ORT completely. and every time, i would get into "trouble". i have finally accepted that i may need to be on ORT the rest of my life, and if thats the case, so be it. sounds like you feel the same way. i would like to be on a lower dose, but thats completely different than stopping altogether. you asked if you should "feel bad about it".....well, no you shouldnt. and good luck with the doctor. just tell him everything you told me. if this doctor is any good, his main goal should be to whatever is necessary to keep you CLEAN. so definitely stress that. i hope it works out for you.

i just got home from the docters this morning and was prescribed zubsolv .......ive heard of subutex and suboxone but never zubsolv and had no idea that they actually go higher than 8 mg. i thought 8 mg was the highest that they made buprenorphine but i gues i was wrong because the doc gave me 8.6 mg zubsolv and they work very well for me.. And i actually like them more than i like subutex or suboxone believe it or not

AMANDA: If you ever DO decide to try to come off the bupe, go down as SLOWLY as possible. Like a milligram at a time. And give yourself time to adjust properly before going down further. Good luck to you.

SUNNYKLEE: In these last five or six comments, I don't see anyone else besides myself talking about being on methadone. So am I the one you are talking to when you commented about switching from methadone to buprenorphine?

That's good to hear I've been on subs for two years and I'm switching because of insurance. I fear the unknown but can't afford script out of pocket so I'll have to try the zubs. Thanks for the input.

Orexo's claim that 5.7 mg of Zubsolv is equivalent to 8 mg of Suboxone is BLATANTLY MISLEADING. The data that they use to support this claim is comparing the Zubsolv tablets to the Suboxone tablets, NOT the films, and studies that have compared the efficacy of the Suboxone films vs Suboxone tablets show that the bioavailability of buprenorphine from the films is significantly greater than from the sublingual tablets, in the range of 16-28%. So despite what Orexo claims most people switching from Suboxone films to Zubsolv tablets will need to adjust their dosage.

HAMMER: Are you feeling any withdrawal symptoms yet? If you aren't into a pretty good withdrawal, you will seriously regret taking that bupe too soon. Please trust me on this.

I actually don't recall the post which I replied. So I do not know who I was directing that towards Kkh. But I will say that my personal experience is that methadone made me high just like pills suboxone has had a major impact in my life in that I no longer have the desire nor have had the desire since I started august 2014. I switched to zubsolv for insurance purpose and I switxhed back to suboxone for the same reason. My insurance now covers suboxone. In the 3 months I was on zubsolv I noticed that the taste was much better and the feeling of the drug was less but almost equal to suboxone. Anyhow that's just my exp. I just hope that all people find a way out of using and the street drugs. Because that is just no way to live. There are beautiful things to see hear and experience and we all have the potential to have them hold them and live them.

I much prefer Suboxone strips over zubsolv. I noticed after initial dopesickness symptoms are alleviated I can reduce my intake of Suboxone until a few weeks I'm only taking a small corner of 8mg. I am 3 weeks off H and on zubsolv. Every morning when I wake up my back is sore and i have extreme anxiety until I take the zubsolv. After about 15 minutes I get relief. Throughout the day I'm still taking a 5.7 zubsolv (=8mg Sub). It seems much harder to taper, but I have no insurance and i can buy Zubs for $8 a piece. Anyone have similar tales?

MikeC: I would just be careful and go as slowly as possible. You may feel ok now, but that can catch up with you. Not trying to discourage you at all, just saying be careful and don't rush it if you don't have to.

I have the same issue as you with the zubsolv. I am going through getting appealed as we speak. The doctor can choose to get you back on suboxone. Zubsolv makes me sick and doesn't help with my pain. That is something you have to talk to your doctor about. Not sure of my outcome yet. But it's worth a try.

Be honest with him and tell him what you explained to us. They don't want you to go back to drugs, they will work with you.

My Dr forced me to switch from 2 mg subutex per day to 2 of the 5.7 mg Zubsolv per day, even after telling them and having written documentation from my local ER that the nalaxone makes my stomach extremely upset. I had no say in the matter and was forced to either chose the films which I knew made me nauseated or these junky things so I chose them and have been sick the past 2 days. They gave me a couple different excuses as to why they were doing this but the number one reason seemed to be that they were less expensive which seems like should be the choice of the patient. Truth be told the total difference in cost amounted to about 30$ less so I'm a little peeved. My Dr said try them a month and if I didn't like them they MIGHT switch me back to the medicine I've been use to, and has worked fine for me for close to 2 years. I'm gonna call them and get that confirmed before going back because I'm not spending a large chunk of money on Dr fees and a prescription for something that's not gonna do what I need it too. I had been self weening myself for a few months and most days 1 subutex was all I was taking and worked fine. Well, due to that I still have about 2 dozen of my subutex from last month and took one last night and have been fine since. I should have nearly enough to get to my next appt but if they refuse to switch me back I guess I'm just screwed, and have over 200$ worth of this Zubsolv that I have no desire to take as it's not helping much with withdrawal symptoms and upsetting my stomach on top of that! Idk, this is all just kind of frustrating, if I'd have known it would have came to this I'd have weaned myself off by now, or at least tried my best to.

I've been a addict for about 15 years now. I was on suboxone tablets for a year then film for about 3 and now zubsolv and it works just fine. Had no problems. But unfortunately there's always a way to abuse all of them. And I have also been on subutex which I like much better than the rest but zubsolv does work.
