Does Zolpihexal have a negative impact / affect on early pregnancy?

Hi Ezra,

I did locate some information pertaining to Zolpihexal (zolpidem) use during pregnancy, however it does not specify anything related to use during "early" pregnancy. This info states the following:

"Zolpidem Extended-Release Tablets may cause prolonged sleep or severe breathing problems in the newborn if you take it during the last weeks of pregnancy, especially if you take it with certain other medicines. Zolpidem Extended-Release Tablets are found in breast milk. If you are or will be breast-feeding while you take Zolpidem Extended-Release Tablets, check with your doctor to discuss any possible risks to your baby."

Even if the extended release tablets don't pertain to you, I would still think it is vital that you discuss this with your doctor for the safety of your baby.
