2 REPLIES Updatedis this a sub for zestril or lisinopril ## This tablet is manufactured by Lupin Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 20mgs of Lisinopril, so it is a generic for Zestril. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. Is there anything I can help with?
1 REPLY UpdatedI have been taking Lexotanil 3mg at night for 30 years, but 4 years back my doctor (cardiologist) advised me also to take Sert 100mg along with Lexotanil. Now I am taking it in the morning and Lexotanil at night. Please let me know if is there any harm in taking both of these medications together or if I should continue treatment? I am also taking Concor 5mg, Zestril 20mg, Ascard 75mg, Rolip 5mg and Zeegap 75mg.
UpdatedSide effects of Coveram 5/5: I was taking Zestril 20 mg for many years and my Dr just recently 5 weeks ago suggested I change to Coveram 5/5. But since making the change I suffer from continuous mild headaches, slightly swollen ankles and have now developed rashes around both ankles. I had absolutely no side effects from the Zestril and only changed because my Dr advised me that Zestril was an old type of medication! I am 71 years of age and have suffered from mild hypertension for over 20 years. I want to go back to taking Zestril but just concerned about the transfer process. Should I just stop taking the Coveram and just start the Zestril the following day? Thanks for your advice. ## Hello, Tony! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems you're experiencing. However, accordin...
4 REPLIES UpdatedMy 21 year old son, who goes to the gym 4 times a week, watches everything he puts into his mouth, and who has never had high blood pressure, just started Zestril today. A week ago he took his bp at Publix and it was extremely high, 160/97, pulse 115. Has anyone experienced this with their healthy young adult? ## Hello, JJReine! How are you and your son? One high reading wouldn't not be enough to cause a doctor to prescribe such a medication. It would have also had to have been high in other readings. What were the numbers when he checked it? If it was high and his doctor has prescribed this, there is no reason to be upset. High blood pressure can be caused by various things, such as high salt intake, even if he eats healthy low fat foods, or heredity. Getting it under control now i...
1 REPLY UpdatedMy husband has been taking this medication for several years now, and I was wondering if this could lower his sperm count? He also takes Trilipix DR 135 MG, and has a past of heavy use of Xanax, and he does drink alcohol. And has been under a lot of stress. Is there anyway this would affect his sperm count? ## Has he been tested and shown to have a low sperm count? There are many things that may affect it and drinking alcohol can definitely have an effect on his fertility.
