Zempred contains Methylprednisolone, which is a steroid class medication, so while it can be used to treat some symptoms of severe allergic reactions, it is not actually an allergy medication. It is a steroid class drug and regular use of it runs the risk of some severe health side effects, such as fluid retention and congestive heart failure.
