i tried zubsolv before (about a year and 1/2 ago) to kick a 8-15 10Norco a day habit and after 2 months had bad withdrawal to kick the zubsolv. in december i found myself back where i started and went to zubsolv treatment again and now it's been almost 4 months and i'm afraid to stop this time. I may have access to some norco if it will help but the waiting period of 1-5 days for the brain to be able to feel the norco is what is scaring me. Any suggestions?

I've always wondered if napping on zubslov, or subs still work as good when you wake up? Esp when your next dose isn't until tmrw?

My Dr prescribed Zubsolv for detox twice daily. I took my first tablet of 5.7 / 5.4 at 7am then 12 hours later at 7pm I took the second dose. Am I taking it correctly? The Dr. didn’t give me dosage instructions. He’s not a good dr. Very rude. Please tell me if I’m taking them correctly? He gave me a 60 day supply.

My question is how do I take this medicine? Every 12 hours? Or 8 hours? Please, I want to take this med right. My dr. won’t take my calls. I leave a message to call me & he does not. He’s a horrible dr. He already messed up my second visit. My first visit I told him I’m here to get help to get off percocet, then the second visit his assistant prescribed me 90 percocets by mistake. The dr said (after I took the whole bottle) his assistant made a mistake. And he started cursing, yelling at me that I was a real f...... addict! That’s when he prescribed the Zubsolv a couple days later. Went to my appointment and he didn’t even see me. He gave it to his receptionist to give to me with no instructions. He never told me how to take this medication. Plz help.

I was on the 5.7 zubsolv for about 1 year. 2 years on the 1.4/0.36 zubsolv. I had a small gap of 10 days where I was in hospital and not on it and started back for another 6 months on the 1.4/0.36 after being released from the hospital. I am on day 3 of no zubsolv. Day 2 I felt sluggish and extremely tired. I had some minor restless legs and tossed and turned minorly through the night. I definitely had cravings, which were the hardest part to fight off. I made it through and went to bed early to make sure I fitness plenty of sleep. I woke up on day 3 and felt great. I am still a little achy and more exhausted than usual on day 3, but I’m managing and am working a full 13 hour day today.

Things that have helped me were restless legs otc pills. Ibuprofen for the body aches and immotrin for the stomach issues. This has help subside most of the worst withdrawal symptoms.

I have heard night 3 and day 4 are the peak of the worst of it and just need to make it through the next 24 hours. I will repost tomorrow how it’s going for all to know

Not sure if anyone read my post. Tomorrow marks day 21 without any zubsolv. The first week was the worst, finding energy to work was difficult. After getting through that, the rest has been pretty easy going. Melatonin will help you sleep and your physician can help wot restless legs if need be. Hope my story helps someone else do this the right way.

Re: buckeyekid (# 12) Expand Referenced Message

Well I stopped abruptly from 5.7/1.4 twice a day after 8 years and I cannot eat, sleep, real blurry vision, messed up stomach, weakness, restless leg syndrome, depression, hot and cold at the same time and I’m going on week four. This s*** is poison. Stick with it. I am scared I will never be right but my husband keeps assuring me it will get better. I read somewhere that zubsolv can take up to several weeks to several months. Oh ya I was blacking out the first couple days.

Hi-

I pulled my back out and asked a friend for an anti inflammatory. He gave me the Zubsolv. My back pain went away but I started vomiting about half hour after taking it last night with cold sweats. I woke up this am with some blurry vision but that's gone away but I am still nauseated when I get up and walk around. Should be alarmed or wait for the effects to pass??

Hopeful,

Switching from suboxone to zubsolv is no big deal. I made the transition from 8/2 suboxone to 5.7/1.4 zubsolv no problem. I wouldn't even say I am an extremely strong willed person if that helps. I am totally off of it now though. I have been off of zubsolv, suboxone etc for about a month now. If that is your goal then that's great! Taper slooooowwly though.

Hello Hope! I truly appreciate your kind words of strongly needed advice. I just turned 34 on November 13th and I have been addicted to pain meds for 10 years. My mom died from an accidental overdose of morphine 8yrs ago. I watched her try to fight this evil disease called addiction and she warned and begged me on many occasions to never take pain meds. All my meds were prescribed by a doctor for a medical reason which is really irrelevant at this point. It's been a long time coming and I have a strong mindset that I haven't ever had to get off and stay off of this poison. You have to truly be ready to do the work to beat this. I know it will be a lifelong battle but I can and WILL succeed. I am afraid of how bad I'll feel when I start to taper off but it can't be near as bad as cold turkey. Congratulations to you Hope on how far you have come!! Thanks so very much.

I do NOT like zubsolv at all!! I got switched to them from suboxone and I've been a little sick ever since. Yes 1 tablet is suppose to be the same as one strip. I call bull s***!!

I HATE Zubsolv. I had only been on Suboxone for five months after being addicted methadone for 16 years. The Suboxone worked great. I had hope for the first time in a long time. Then my insurance switched me to Zubsolv. It is terrible. First of all, I couldn't find a pharmacy that stocks it and had to wait on the pharmacy to order them. I have had leg cramps, insomnia, mild diarrhea, and the most awful headache ever. This is a joke compared to Suboxone. I can't afford to buy Suboxone and my insurance will only pay for Zubsolv. I am just about ready to go back to the methadone clinic because the Zubsolv is awful.

Did you work 40+hrs a week while doing this Joey? In 2006 I kicked 150mg of methadone daily for four years incarcerated. That was bad. In 2010 I was on 3 8/2 suboxone daily. No strips then. I quit cold turkey. I felt really rough for about 3 days. Day 4and 5 wasn't as bad. Then in about a week I was eating good and back to normal. If I was working at the time I cldnt have done it.

I was wondering from anyone that is taking zubsolv.
Have you had the problem of losing your coronations.
Let me explain. A couple of times when was driving, I would be veering off the road & not realizing what I was doing. It scars me. I ran a 18wheeler off the road yesterday & I had the feelings of not being scared at all, at the time.

Just found this site. Day three off Zubsolv cold turkey. Last night I had a bit of trouble sleeping and a bit of nausea. I'm very pleasantly surprised. I don't know if it makes a difference why one was prescribed Zubsolv. My was for pain not addition to decrease the fatigue and digestive issues. Please let me know how you're doing.
