I take 4 mgs of xanax and 4mgs of xanax xr. The xr never worked well for me so the dr added the reg xanax for breakthru. how do I wean. I've been on them for 1and1/2 yrs. I don't like the side effects but how do you wean when xr can't be broken.I need to get off them ## I also had to gradually increase my dosage of Xanax to maintain the needed effectiveness. My Dr. started me on Klonopin, at my request, and I gradually got off Xanax in a couple of weeks. I am very satisfied with Klonopin & have not had to increase my dosage in 3 years. Best drug decision I ever made. ## I can only suggest talking to your doctor about it. I found a white pill with N on one side and an X on the other side in my daughters room, can some body help me identify it. ## It would be easier to find out what is it if you are able to tell us the shape, The only pill i know of that has an X and an N on it is Xanax, which, unless she has a perscription for it from a doctor, which you should be aware of if she is under 18. she is using it to get high, it is usually used for anxiety; depression; panic disorder; tinnitus; dysautonomia and belongs to the drug class benzodiazepines. It is hard to get addicted to if it has a Low MG but if can be dangerous if it is higher, if she is using it to get high, then it is most likely that she has a higher MG. my kid had some pills a boy gave her and said they where xanaxs. but i searced what they looked like and I can only find the ones im lookin for to have a image on one side, but they had U 94 on both sides white rectangle, bar the slang word I guess. I just went to my pain dr, and had to take a urine drug test..it came back positive for benzo's, i was told that i had to have taken something like xanax or valium...but i have not taken anything but roxicodone, soma, and methadone....Is there anything that could make a positve result for benzo??? I am stummped, because i know i didnt take any benzo...but i did take the new generic roxi 224, could that have anything to do with it....help im lost ## None of the medications you mentioned, the Roxicodone, Methadone or Soma are known to cause false positives for Benzodiazepines. There are a few other medications that can cause false positives for them. Had you taken anything else, even over the counter products?

I never do drugs anymore but this past w/end Sunday I took a xanax bar. I have a urine test for parole on Thursday. Will I pass? some say yes, some say no to using expired meds (XANAX). which is the correct answer?? ## In respect to Xanax, it does not turn into a dangerous substance, once it is expired, however, it does start to lose potency, so it is likely that it will not be as effective as it was, when it was newly prescribed. As to other medications, it depends on the specific drug, while most are safe to use and just less potent, like Xanax, there are others that can be dangerous and should be disposed of. I just need to know what pill this is and what strength it is? Its a small orange round pill with what looks to be like an R on one side and a line on the other side and nothing else. ## There are some prescription tablets that have an R on them, but they also have additional numbers for identification. If this one only has an R on it and nothing else, that leads me to believe that it is probably an over the counter medication, though there is also a slight possibility that it is a foreign drug. However, imprints like this for OTC items can be hard to narrow down, because they are not required to log them with the FDA. I found a light blue oval shaped pill marked with L368 on 1 side and the other side is blank. I was told it's the same thng as Xanax 3mg. how many ml. grams are they? ## Without knowing what markings are on the tablet, I am sorry, but I can't tell you anything about it. There are several green, triangular pills on the market and not all of them contain Alprazolam, the active ingredient in Xanax. There is one that has a stylized X on one side and a 3 on the other that is a 3mg time released tablet, called Xanax XR. Does this sound like the tablet you have?
