yes, the dose is the same, regardless of manufacturer. However,this is my example of why I disagree: is a Nissan EXACTLY the same as a Chevrolet? They are both automobiles, yes, so in one aspect they are the exact same thing. After much research, I have found that some xanax is "cleaner"...because that company used less inactive ingredients, or "fillers". One was actually sodium laurel sulphate. Nasty.

I have tried them all. The Mylan A4 is a better buzz in my experience. The bars just make me sleep, they do not give me the "happy feeling" that the Mylan A4 round white pills that you can break into four sections give me. It is supposed to be anti anxiety medication not a sleeping pill... Mylan also makes an A1 blue round pill that is effective and only 1mg.

The blue footballs are the best. Nothing touches them in my mind. Plus coming off the bars is much harder and gives you diarrhea really bad which I have not experienced with the Mylan generics or the original Xanax football shaped pills.

2 milligram xanax sold at cvs verry good quality only thing is homid or damp conditions will make them lose there strength and they become"crumbley" all in all you will build a resistance to bars green ones round ones and withdrawls are no fun yellow ones from walgreens are garbage

The majority of prescription drugs arent needed and are taken for fun, but Americans abuse everything, especially drugs, legal, illegal, or prescribed. The FDA gives u just enough meds to make feel good enough so u continue to come back so they continue to make money. If they gave out cures for everything, a lot of people would be out of jobs and they would be no more FDA

XANAX, generic is MYLAN. they are the manufactuer, anxiety and panic attack meds. They work great if taken correctly if and when needed

Mylan A4 is generic for xanax, I believe the A4 is the 2mg pill, but yes it is xanax

I agree Dan. Nothing works like Mylan, of course, it works differently for other people. I take it because I need it, not to get high.

Mylan has reduced my anxiety better than the name brand xanax and any other generic. Im on 1mg once a day. NO other generic has even come close to helping me with my problems like Mylan A1. Just my two cents, but anyone saying Mylans dont work are crazy. I refuse to go to a pharm. that doesnt have Mylan.

I have been taking 2mg Alprazolam for my axiety/panic attacks. Mylan DO NOT work the same as 2mg bars. I specifically hate to pick them up bc the pharmacy thinks they are the DR.! I just went to Walmart to fill my script, and was questioned about everything...they looked down their nose at me bc I asked specifically if Mylan was their generic. I was told by an assistant pharmacy tech that they are the same. I was interegated by the entire pharmacy. I went home and had Mylan2mg(Exactley what I requested not to fill). I spoke with the pharmasist and he said....well I can't help you. They also attached another persons HIPPA info regarding the script. I have someone elses information. Mylan blurs my vision, makes me shakey and stomacheache. I called the pharmacy to let them know I had someone elses info. and did not appreciate having his staff tell me it's the same as 2mg bars. I approached the pharmacy again, let him know I feel dizzy and weird, and all he continued to ask for was the HIPPA papers to "shred". I have not returned them bc of my experince...now what do I do?

What I want to know is..do y'all just pop these pills for fun or do you really need them? It seems like all the answers to the questions are by people that appear to use them recreationally..just sayin'

I also wanted to say.. although I prefer the bars (sticks, 4 bars, juss plain ol' bars. etc..).. the Mylan A4, which is generic 2mg Xanax (Alprazolam) is the exact same amount of active ingredients as the bars ( any brand that makes them in bar shape.) It would be illegal for them to make the mylan 2mg Alprazolams any different, active ingredient wise. If you think the bars are better (any brand that makes rectangular bars) I'm sorry but you are wrong.. they are all the same 2mg Alprazolam, no matter what company that makes the generics, are all the exact same except for maybe the fillers the use. I know some idiot who used to IV generic Xanax and Klonopins, he actually prefered the Mylan A4 2mg generic Xanax for IV use, because i guess they had less in-active filler. Bottom line, all generic Alprazolam formulations are the more or less the same. If you feel like one is better, its either your mind playing tricks on you, or for some reason your body processes a certain brand faster.. I dont know. Jusy my 2 Cents... (well maybe its like 5 or 6 cents :) hehe) I juss popped 2 Mylan A4 Alprazolams and I'm feeling nice and loose, the exact same way if I took any variety of the generic "bars" they make. I am fairly knowledgable on my pharmacueticals (sp?) but not so great a speller! haha. But yes, I have much experience with all kids of pharms. Opioids, Sleep meds. Benzos.. you name, I probably know at least a little something about it, if not everything their is to know about said pill! ask me anything you want! Not all generics are the same. The Mylan generics have worked the best for both myself and a friend of mine that are on the same dosage (.0 5 mg). I recently got my prescription filled and was told Mylan was discontiuing making the generics for Xanax. I ended up with AES, you might as well take NOTHING. I take it for anxiety and it helps to relax me to sleep otherwise I'd be up all night worring. Anyone know anything about this?
