I take 1 Xanax 3 times daily as needed for anxiety. They are 1mg each. And I also have a severe back injury witch I'm taking methadone for pain. I take 3 10mg tablets 2 times a day. My Question is When I'm taking my Xanax in the morning and my methadone should I Only take one of the type of medication and wait for some time before I take the other. Will one of the medications stop the other from working as well. Because most of the time in the morning I'm in so much pain I take my pain medication and my anxiety medication at the same time. And I feel like I didn't even take my anxiety medication ( Xanax generic) I don't know?

No, they do not interact in such a manner, according to current FDA reports. But combining them may cause more side effects than usual, which could include nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, and respiratory depression.
However, you can always split them up and take them however they work best for you, unless your doctor advises otherwise.
