I am on Vagi-Fem (25mcg vaginal cream) twice per week for vaginal dryness. I've been instructed by my new doctor to take Prometrium (100mg) for 12 days every other month to make sure my endometrium is not thickening. I have not heard of this type of hormone replacement therapy before. I am post-menopause 12 years now. Is this a new therapy? What are the benefits/side effects? ## Prometrium has been on the market since 1998, it contains Progesterone. So, it is not really new.
