i wanted a natural hormone replacement. is this considered 'natural'? what are side effects? ## TRI-EST PROG contains the active ingredients estrogen/progesterone. Some information that I've gathered regarding whether or not this is a natural product, states the following: "Natural Progesterone is NOT prescription Progestin. Natural Progesterone is bioidentical to the hormones in your body. Prescription Progestins are chemically modified progesterones (Progestins) so as to be patented and thus can be sold as expensive patented drugs. Natural Progesterone cannot be patented because it is found in nature." This information is referenced from: NOTE: In the link above you can also view the potential good and bad side effects of supplementing these hormones. Please also n...

My doctor precribed 3 day 150 mg fluconazole for intestinal yeast (plus 2 refills). Is 3 days enough and when should I take the rest? Thanks ## The dosing varies, depending on the infection being treated and the severity of it, many cases only require one dose, but since your doctor prescribed it for 3 days, it's a fairly good guess that the infection is pretty problematic and they want to make sure to wipe it out. As to when to use the rest, unless they instruct you to do so, they probably just prescribed them as in case measure that aren't intended to be used. Some doctors will do this, so if the first round doesn't completely clear it up, they can just have you run to your pharmacy for another refill, rather than have to go in for another appointment. Are there any other ...

We are trying to get pregnant, but I don't have natural periods. So, I was told to take Medroxypr Ac 10 mg every day for 10 days to start my period. My question is, after I've taken the last pill, when will I actually start my period? (in how many days) ## There is really no precise count that you can rely on, it may be the day after you take your last pill, or it may take several more days, it really all depends on your own body and how it reacts to the hormones. You're period may also be unusual, when it does arrive, you may bleed less or more than usual. It could also lengthen it or shorten its duration. Hormones can work differently on different people, which is why its difficult to determine which way any one person may go. Are there any other questions or comments? ## ...

I want a specific list of the vitamins and minerals that is in this vitamin so I will know if I need any other supplements. For example: Does it have Zinc, Cysteine, L-theanine, Omega-3's, B complex, I want to know EXACTLY WHAT ALL IT DOES CONTAIN, insert that comes with my prescription tells me NOTHING. ## I understand your dilemma, many of them just say it's a vitamin supplement, but there are no specifics on how much of anything it contains or what it may be missing. These specific ones from Amneal Pharmaceuticals are listed as containing: 1.84MG THIAMINE HYDROCHLORIDE;120MG ASCORBIC ACID;10MG PYRIDOXINE HYDROCHLORIDE;400UNT VITAMIN D;22UNT VITAMIN E;22MG VITAMIN E;12MG CYANOCOBALAMIN;400UNT CHOLECALCIFEROL;20MG NIACINAMIDE;4000UNT VITAMIN A;1MG FOLIC ACID;20MG NIACIN;1.84MG ...

I found this pill on the floor in my home and I would like to find out what it is. It's a small, round, peach-colored pill that has 2.5 on one side and a heart-shaped logo on the other side. Thanks in advance to anyone that can help! ## This is a Canadian tablet manufactured by PharmaScience, but it is difficult to determine exactly which one of their products it is. They actually have several with similar markings and colors. The closest I can find is a 2.5mg Medroxyprogesterone tablet, which is a hormone replacement pill. Is anyone else familiar with these tablets?

It's a white 8 sides hexa shaped pill, with two uppercase P's imprinted on one side. On the other side is just a flat line going through the middle of the pill. I was told it was some type of anti aromtase, possibly nolvadex, but I dont think so. Know what it is? ## This imprint (including physical description) does not show up under any of the U.S. drug databases. Because of that, it is very likely that this pill falls into one or more of the categories listed below: -Manufactured outside of the U.S. -It is an over-the-counter medication -Fake -Party drug (ecstasy or something else) -Has been discontinued for one reason or another Did you possibly find this pill somewhere or obtain it from a friend? I wish I could be of more help, but one thing you can do is take the pill over ...

I have been on Medroxypr 2.5MG and Estradiol 1MG for several years. I want to go off of these. Can I just stop taking them or do I have to wean myself off them? ## Have you consulted your doctor? They would be the person best qualified to help you in this matter. A sudden cessation of these hormonal tablets could cause some rebound effects, such as acne, headaches and weight changes.

Does it affect my baby since I follow breast feeding? How long can I take this medicine? ## Regestrone contains the active ingredient Norethindrone, one of its uses is to postpone or regulate periods. I notice I am no emotual. but Iam also taking mtest hs/est and estog ## This is Medroxyprogesterone and is just another hormone replacement, so it really carries the same risks as the others, such as nausea, headache, weight gain and blood clots. Have you discussed your concerns with your doctor? ## DO ALL ESTROGEN/ PROGESTRIN DRUGS CAUSE WEIGHT GAIN. I AM IN THE MILITARY AND HAVE GAINED 55 POUNDS SINCE MENOPAUSE. I CAN BE TOSSED OUT OF THE MILITARY AND LOOSE MY RETIREMENT IF I DON'T DROP THE WEIGHT.

Has anyone tried Gynodiol? I am looking for a different estradiol than the one Bar manufactures. It is as though I am taking nothing. I took the ones made by Bristol Myers (the round one) and was very content for many years. ## Have you talked to your doctor, or pharmacist about the problem? Your pharmacy may be able to order the ones from the prior manufacturer in for you and let you know what else is available. Unfortunately, finding which ones work for you and which ones don't can be a matter of trial and error.

I just need to know if I can take fluconazole at the same time as my UTA capsules. Its thanksgiving weekend and my usual pharmacy is closed and so is the doctors office. Any help would be great, thanks. ## Hi Moonbeam, I know you posted this on Saturday so you may have already found an answer, but from what I was able to gather there are no drug interactions found between Fluconazole and UTA (hyoscyamine/methenamine/methylene blue/phenyl salicylate). This does not necessarily mean no interactions exist, but my sources state that every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is accurate. I hope this helps! ## Thank you David. It helps greatly, being as my Dr s office was still closed today too. Hope you and yours had z great Thanks giving and has a wonderful Christma...

This was supposed to be nolvadex can anyone help me ## Based on my research, there's no information in any of the drug databases regarding this pill. I did however see another thread in which someone else was also trying to identify this exact pill; stating that it is "supposed to be" Nolvadex as well. The user posted a photo of the square blue pill, but it is of bad quality and none have been able to confirm it as real or fake yet. If you go to google images and type in "nolvadex square blue pill", you'll see the image I am referring to. I'll be sure to post back if I am able to gather anymore information on the pill. ## Thanks I still got them just not sure yet

I started taking Letoval on days 2-6 days of my periods. Then I ovulated and started taking Susten 200 VT vaginally for 14 days. I didn't get my periods yet. So I have been advised to take 3 more Susten, but I still didn't get my periods. So I took a pregnancy test and it came back negative. I consulted my gyne and she asked me to continue Susten for another 3 days. My husband's sperm count is 22 mill/ml so he is also advised to take Maxoza. He is taking it about a month now. Can I be pregnant? Please help. ## If the test came up negative, then your being pregnant is very doubtful. However, Susten contains Progesterone, which is a hormone and while the appropriate amount of it is needed for you to get pregnant and support a healthy pregnancy, it is a hormone and can cause som...

My Dr is saying that Est Estrogen Tab Mtest Hs is no longer being produced for use is this true? He also adds that I need to have a GYN prescribe a hormone replacement. He is my primary care provider and has been prescribing them in the past, I would think he could continue to do so. ## Your doctor is usually going to be right about a product no longer being produced; as he would've been contacted by the manufacturer (drug representative) upon writing you a prescription, informing him that they are no longer an option on the market. I did find someone on another thread stating that they discontinued making estratest ds. This could be related to the drug you are referring to? Gynecologist also specialize in this sort of thing, so your primary care doctor probably just realized that t...
