Est Estrogen Tab Mtest Hs

My Dr is saying that Est Estrogen Tab Mtest Hs is no longer being produced for use is this true? He also adds that I need to have a GYN prescribe a hormone replacement. He is my primary care provider and has been prescribing them in the past, I would think he could continue to do so.

Your doctor is usually going to be right about a product no longer being produced; as he would've been contacted by the manufacturer (drug representative) upon writing you a prescription, informing him that they are no longer an option on the market.

I did find someone on another thread stating that they discontinued making estratest ds. This could be related to the drug you are referring to?

Gynecologist also specialize in this sort of thing, so your primary care doctor probably just realized that this isn't his forte. That's just my opinion though.

A Gynecologist should also be able to give you more personalized advice, being more knowledgable about these hormonal pills and which one's have better success rates, etc. Not that your doctor doesn't know what he's doing, but I would think that you'd be under better care with a Gynecologist for this sort of thing, as it is one of the only things they put their focus on, rather than being in a field that requires a broader perspective. I hope that makes sense.
