Dr. Prescribed medroxyprogesterone 10mg (for 10 days) so that I can get my period. I don' t understand, for ages when a woman's menstruation stopped it often meant menopause...............I think it's just a ruse for prescribing meds ## Hello, Fina! How are you? Yes, it could artificially induce periods, when you may be menopausal and should no longer be getting them. Even oral contraceptives can do that and, in most cases, doctors have a woman go off of them for a few months, when they reach a certain age, to see if they have periods without them. I'd suggest getting a second opinion from a different doctor. Is there anything else I can help with...

How are you? It sounds like you have a hormonal imbalance, like your body just couldn't rebalance them on its own, after stopping. You are going to need to see a doctor, if you want to get this straightened out, so you can have a baby. You are likely not producing progesterone to stabilize the endometrial lining and are...
Hello! I'm 25 and my doctor prescribed this medication for me because I've been having a four week long menstrual cycle. I couldn't wait for the bleeding to stop so I went ahead and took the first pill but after reading the side affects I don't want to continue taking this medication. The thing that's freaking me out is that on the label is says "do not skip doses or discontinue" does anyone know what will happen if I just stop taking it? Will the bleeding get worse? Please help! ## Hello, Desiree! How are you doing? This contains a form of Progesterone, which it vital to a normal menstrual cycle, so your doctor prescribed this to help rebalance your hormones and get the bleeding to stop. Yes, stopping it like that could worsen the bleeding. What side effects...
can iron polysacharide complex capsule make me get my period back? ## HI, Fahy! How are you? No, this is just an iron supplement that can help treat or prevent anemia, but it will not cause you to start your menstrual cycle. If you are having a problem with yours, you need to consult a doctor to get a proper diagnosis on what's causing the issue and find the proper solution. Most times it's caused by a hormonal imbalance, such as a lack of estrogen or progesterone. Is there anything else I can help with? ## My son is taking medicine for primary complex... is it ok to take multivitamins with lysine and iron, to be specific incremin syrup (vitamins).... once I read in the internet that it is ok to take that kind of vitamins, but now I'm confused because of what I have read a w...
I was on anti biotic for cat bite and now I have itching and burning around the rectum and pee hole. Can I use premarin crème down there? Or can triamcinolone crème be used. also I applied the premarin there and now I don't have to wear pads for incontinence for a few days. Is that good? I don't have to urinate as often. Did do something wrong by trying this or have I just found a CURE for bladder incontinence. Any advice or info would be so appreciated. Thank you ## Hello, Dotty! How are you? It sound like you've developed a yeast infection from the antibiotic and will most likely need an antifungal medication to clear it up. Some are available over the counter, but please check with your doctor to make sure it is safe for you to take. And please, do not apply any...

when is the best time of day to take fluconazole? I have to take 5 doses of 100mg every other day, I just really wish I knew what to expect after I've taken this med, I hate side effects.. I've taken it before but just 1-pill after taking antibiotics but 5 of them has me worried!! ## Hello, Tracy! How are you? There is no real best time of day, it really just depends on you. If it makes you drowsy, you may want to take it at night, or if it makes you nauseous, you may need to take it after a meal. The exception would be if your doctor has specified a specific time you should take it. Other side effects may include flatulence, rash, headache and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with?
Hi, I've had abnormal periods since I was a teenager. At age 18 my gynecologist put me on provera/medroxyprogesterone, I've taken it every first 10 days of every month since then, and I am now 35 years old and still on this medicine. My doctor keeps telling me that I need to stay on it, to prevent uterine cancer, it runs in my family and if I don't take this medicine I won't get a period. My concern is the effect this medicine will have on my body after all these years of taking it. I keep reading that this medicine may increase my risk of breast and ovarian cancer. What do I do???? ## Hello, Judy! How are you? Wow! That's very unusual, most doctors will have you take it for awhile, then stop to see if your natural cycle kicks in. There's really no way for your d...
I have been put on estradiol 2mg and progesterone 200mg 2x daily vaginally to trigger period. Once my period comes I will begin my 1st cycle of clomid. How long does it take for my period to start with the estrogen/progesterone combo? ## Hello, Kiki222! How are you? How long will you be taking it? Usually, your period will start within a day or two of stopping the Progesterone.
So I just had a baby two months ago and have been patiently waiting for my period to start and it has yet to come, I'm a mother of two and dnt want any more kids so I'm planning on getting my tubes tied but can't until my cycle starts. I called my doc and he put me on 200 mg of progesterone for a 12 day period to induce my cycle. My question is how long does it usually take to start ur period after taking this medicine? ## Hello, Mamushka! How are you? You should start within a day or two of finishing the Progesterone. It is generally a sudden drop off of it that starts your cycle. Where do you live? In the U.S. this procedure is often done immediately after giving birth, with no waiting for a cycle required.
One side of pill has a 6, 9, or b on one side; other side has a 1 on one side of bisect and 988 on other. Please identify if you can. ## Hi Stephanie, Based on the description provided, I located an oval blue/purplish pill with the imprint "b 886 1". The "b" is on one side and on the other side is "886" and "1" separated by a score line. Looking at the pill upside down shows the imprint as "1" "988"; which is what you described. This pill is reportedly identified as Estradiol (1 mg), which is often used in the treatment of postmenopausal symptoms, but also has a number of other indications as well. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Estradiol Details I hope this helps!
Hi, I was taking b long tablets for years for having a cyst in my breast. When it got better, i stopped the medicine. I also lost 20 kgs weight. My periods also became regular. After 3-4 yrs because of my friend's advice i started it again. This month again my periods have been delayed and also my breast pain has started again. Pls let me know if these are side effects of b long tablets? ## My friend is feeding her son since 6 month. Now she have to go job for one month in other place so now she stopped feeding and thought to continue after a month but due to that she is getting severe breast pain. Can B Long tablet get rid of the pain? Or please give any suggestion for coming out of this pain.
I have undergone a procedure for an 80% blockage in the left anterior descending (LAD) coronary artery, and I am currently taking Statin 40mg and Clopilet A 75mg daily. I am 51 years old and experiencing irregular menstrual cycles with heavy bleeding. Could these symptoms be side effects of the medication I am taking? ## It is most likely due to the hormonal imbalances that occur with perimenopause, which are the years leading up to actual menopause. Have you consulted your doctor? They can do blood work to check and see if that is the case. But this type of thing does normally occur for awhile, before a woman actually hits menopause, then becomes post-menopausal. At this time, you usually stop ovulating, so you aren't producing as much progesterone as you used to, but you still pro...

Please tell me details of SUSTEN 300 and its use. ## Susten contains a Progesterone hormone, this hormone is vital to a woman's body and normal menstrual cycle. If you are not producing enough of it, it can cause irregular menstrual cycles and impair your ability to get pregnant. Possible side effects may include: nausea, headache, weight changes and breakthrough bleeding. Updated in Fluconazolefound capsule, its oblong pink on one side and deep red (maroon0 on other ## Are there any markings on it? If not, then we can rule it out as being a manufactured prescription medication, since they are all required to have imprints to enable their identification. That means that this is most likely some type of over the counter product. Where did you find it? Some products are regional, so knowing the general location may help to narrow it down. ## It's a study capsule, perhaps estrogen ans progesterone
does akyma prenatal plus have gelatin, if so what is the source? is there any multi vitamin that does not contain any animal products? thanks ## @latif, Based on my research, Akyma (also known as Amneal) Pharmaceuticals discontinued their prenatal plus tablets some time ago. However I did come across a list of inactive ingredients and apparently it does contain gelatin sourced from porcine, which is pork. You can view more details about it here if you scroll down to the Prenatal Plus section: prd02.apsiva.net/catalog/servlet/com.apsiva.servlet.pc.PCHomeServlet?task=login And as far as vegan multivitamins are concerned, from personal experience I would suggest looking into brands like Garden of Life, since all their products are raw and plants based. I hope this helps!

How are you? Yes, progesterone is vital to both a normal menstrual cycle and your ability to get pregnant. I can't promise you that it will work, but for the best possible outcome, it would be wise to follow your doctor's instructions. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## I haven't had my period in a while now, can't remember the last time so lets say around 6-7 months ago.. just recently I was prescribed a medroxyproge...
why has this gone from costing $54.00 in May to costing $144.00 in June? With my insurance the cost is $102.00. That's crazy ## I am going through the same issues! I was told that it's because the government made it a controlled substance. Crazy! ## Hello, Denise and Karen! How are you ladies? This was reclassified due to the Methyltestosterone in it and it has caused a lot more regulation and work to be involved with getting it to market, now. Is there anything else I can help with?
