I started my period Dec 10th and it stopped Dec 17th. My fiancé and I are hoping to have a baby. Today Dec 26th I started spotting. I have not taken the pill yet and I feel weak and have a lot of cramps. Can I be pregnant or should I be concerned about this issue? ## Hello, Mari! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems that you're having. This is a hormone replacement medication, so those types of side effects can occur, as reported by the FDA. You may also experience nausea, headache, irritability and weight changes. However, the only way to know whether or not you are pregnant is to have it checked out. Is there anything else I can help with?

I had stage 3 her2 positive breast cancer and had 2 ops, chemo, radio, herceptin and am on tamoxifen for 5 years with about 14 months to go. Apart from the weight gain, blurred vision, aches&pains, hot flushes etc I suffer from awful bloating. This seems to have become worse the longer I am on this drug. Has anyone been prescribed anything to counteract this? If so what? I have tried over the counter remedies, probiotics etc but not much help really.
Updated in TamoxifenI started using Vagifem a week ago and today I saw blood spotting. Is this normal? I can't remember if my Dr told this would happen. ## Hello, Rose! How are you? Yes, any type of hormonal treatment may cause spotting, as a side effect. The FDA lists the other typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, discharge and PMS-like symptoms. If it gets heavy or continues for a long time, you should have it checked out to be sure. Is there anything else I can help with?

I was on a oesrogen progesterone pill for many years now I'm 45 and have breast cancer family history my doctor put me on primolut n I have not a period since starting this and I am not pregnant my last period was 1st november 2013.should I be concerned? Thank you Kt. ## Hello, Kt! How are you? Was your last exam normal? Some women won't experience periods, when taking this medication, which is a hormonal supplement. Its typical side effects may possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and PMS-like symptoms. You are the normal age that we ladies typically start to experience hormonal oddities.
i am 31 yrs having pcos. i underwent ivf & had baby a year back. now for past 45 days i have heavy bleeding and also put on weight. doctor 1st advised me Meprate, since no improvement, again advised Meprate with Fefol Z. i was not advied for any ultra sound scan or any other test. kindly advise me i am n right path? ## Some blood work should be done to check what exactly is causing it, as well as an ultrasound. It could be due to a hormonal imbalance, but that's not really likely if the Meprate hasn't helped, since it contains Medroxyprogesterone. Have you visited an Ob Gyn or just a regular doctor for it? A general practitioner may not know all the possibilities involved. ## How long will the menstrual meprate 10mg taking the pill?
Here is my story. I'm 35 and have always had odd or no periods. I do have pcos and had endometriosis. The end of October this year I had a d & c and a hysto-something to clear me out and run diagnostics. Then started the medroxy for 10 days on the 16th of November. Just started my period on the 4th and it seems to be just like all my other past ones. Like I'm dying. If it stays like this do I start my next medroxy round on the 16th still? Before the d & c I hadn't had a period for well over a year and a half. Most of my periods that I have had normally last for 6 weeks to 3 months. Again like I'm dying. I'm working on all this to finally start my family. So any help is good help. ## Hello, Moni! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems you're having....
Hi, I am a 30 year old mother of two with a tubal ligation. I have been having horrible abdominal pain after intercourse and have always had really heavy heavy periods that are irregular and clotty and very painful. Had an ultrasound done. So they didn't find anything except that I had a very thick endometrium. Would a thick endometrium cause pain after intercourse? The pain lasts well into the next day. Sometimes I have pain when I haven't had intercourse as well. It is doubled over pain that lasts up to 24-48 hours (I have a high tolerance for pain and never go to the doctor). Anyway, the doctor prescribe me Provera to help them out my endometrium. I understand how it synthetic progestin can do this but what I don't understand is why the doctor told me I will never have a ...

Updated in ClomidHello I started taking Provera to time the start of an IVF cycle but my estrogen has gone really high. Like about 5000. It has happened 2 times now in a row. The estrogen has still come down to baseline after m period. Could Provera do this? I've read it lowers natural progesterone and was thinking perhaps this could create an unopposed estrogen dominant situation? My concern is it could otherwise be something bad like ovarian cancer. Would you estrogen come back down to baseline under 70 if it was this causing it? Looking for some answers. Thanks

And no, if you did get pregnant, it would not harm your child unless you took severely high amounts of it, because it is a hormone that is actually very important to a healthy, full term pregnancy. Learn more Progesterone details here. Have you consulted your doctor? They may be able to help you determine if there is a real problem, or not. ## Hi, my pregtest came negative twice on 7th...
I have been on tamoxifen for over 5 years. I was excited to go off of it from all the side effects. She now told me the new protocol is 10 years. Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know WHY? I'd really like to go off it and am not sure what to do. I am perimenopausal, 49 years old and was diagnosed when I was 43 with stage 1 HER 2 positive. ## Hello, Marian! How are you? I'm sorry that you're disappointed. But yes, the new treatment regimen is 10 years, as they have discovered that there is a better response when taken longer, plus it helps prevent recurrence. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness and hair loss. Has anyone else had their protocol changed recently?
I have Tinea versicolor and have had it for about 11 years now. I didn't actually go to the doctors about it until a few months ago. I have since been prescribed a shampoo which I used for 3 days and didn't see a difference and for the last 9 weeks have been taking fluconazole as I have suffered from bouts of thrush for equally as long. I've been told the fluconazole will definitely clear the TV but so far, nothing on both fronts. I'm brown in complexion and have light patches from my belly button up to my neck, and all over my back. Now that I know it can be cleared, I feel I've really got my hopes up but have not seen a single bit of progress. Is there literally ANYTHING that's proven to get rid of this for life!?
Updated in Fluconazoleim advised to take strone 200 capsules to insert vaginally and im 4weeks pregnant and i also advised to take susten 200 injection once in 10days. is it safe? ## Susten and Strone both contain the hormone Progesterone and it is actually vital to a healthy, full term pregnancy. A lack of it can result in a miscarriage or pre-term labor. Your doctor wants you to use this to help ensure that you can support the pregnancy for the full 9 months. So, not using it is actually far more dangerous, than using the medications. It may cause some side effects, such as nausea and headaches. You can learn more about it here: Are there any other questions? ## Susten 200 or strone 200 which is better for pregnancy?
