With The New Kasper Law In Kentucky Do I Have To Get My Pain Meds Filled State Of

With the new Kasper law that went in to effect 7-20-2012 in Kentucky requiring that my doctor run a Kasper report before prescribing any pain meds - am I required to get the script filled in Kentucyk since Kasper does not cross state lines ?

The main problem you are going to run into, regardless of this particular law, is that virtually no pharmacy is filling out of area prescriptions anymore.

This has been a very recent change that is causing problems for people all over the country. In most cases to get them filled, you need to to live within a certain radius of the pharmacy you are using. There are very few exceptions.

Ok I currently get my medication once a month. I am only prescribed 2 a day (I get norco 10)

I had surgery on my leg and he gav me some pain meds and antibiotics.

Is that wrong? Because my surgeon only gav me a few... Would I get cut off 4 that?
