Will Suboxone Test False Positive For Opiates?

I recently tested positive for opiates at my PO office. I did not take any opiates but I did take a suboxone film the night before. Can the ua test false positive for opiates? And when they send it to the lab will it still test positive for opiates?

I just experienced the same thing! I don't know what's gonna happen . My whole life is at jeopardy and I haven't taken anything but suboxone in years. I have 21/2 yrs of jail time to look forward to if this confirmation test comes back positive. I'm so freaked out! Someone please tell me what to do? I have not taken any opiates or any drug other than suboxone. And yet I have been told by my p o that my taking suboxone has no bearing on the positive result. What BS

It won't be a false positive. Suboxone is, in fact, a form of opiate.

You need documentation to your attorney, fast.

Recovery is encouraged. But you have to prove that you're being prescribed it

I am prescribed suboxone and I haven't taken any opiates for several months and I had my first drug test today for my probation officer and I tested positive for oxycodone, so it is possible for suboxone to show positive for opiates.

I am on sub strips it is not an opiate at all it does however have chemicals in it that makes ur brain think it's an op but it's an op blocker if y take opiated on it I'll go into detox and it will litter ally ripping the op u have in ur body out bc of the sub ..... Trust me I'm on pa I no bc I've looked into every whitch way I'm also an addict an I try to find a way around everything subs can make u have a false positive for other drug more so if u r prego or if u are taking other. ( non opiate ) drugs with if bc they clash ..zzz as far as p. o. If y test positive and I did NOT do what ur positive for u can have them send it in and if u didn't do it u have nothing to worry about bc they break it down to a molecule and they'll see why and how u had a false test if h are guilty though ur f***ed cuz they will find out

Actually. Fools. Suboxone IS an opiate AND opiate antagonist. So yes there is opiate in it but the antagonist tricks the receptors. It's 2 medications combined into one. For christ sake read your bottle or strip.
