Thanx John D, thats great info about the generic OC, are they making 80mg? Will it be added to PBS at some point, I thought that was one of the reasons generic meds are made (to lower prices & not be so costly on the Aussie deficit providing PBS) I actually just saw my doc this morning, & finally relented to increase my dose. Im just struggling to control the pain atm, so hopefully the extra medication will settle it enough to get me through till the generics in store at my pharmacy. Thanx Dox, the Jurista sounds like a good option to consider. How is it conversion wise, getting the correct dosage? How long has it been on prescription for? Do you know if there's been problems for people with side effects/allergies? Its good to finally see things will have a good outcome in regards to choices in medication. Im in Australia Dox. Thoughts & well wishes to your husband Katherine, I hope the chemo works for him & doesn't effect him to badly, he sounds like a real fighter. Take care everyone.

Michelle, I had an e-mail back from PBS with that exact concern. As you mentioned the whole idea generally for generic is to have a cheaper option. The e-mail was not very informative. As mentioned in previous e-mail PBS only takes on new medications April, August and December. I know Sandoz could not get stock at that stage from over seas (which is where they manufacture them). Also the patent only just expired 1 week prior. Therefore Sandoz or any other company could not even talk about it until after this period. It may not of been enough time. All of these could of been contributing factors.

In the case of Oxycontin OP and Oxycodone Sandoz they are quite different products as you know. So who knows if this is also a factor.

Yes there is an 80mg. Strengths as far as I can see on that leaflet link are as follows: 5, 10, 20, 40, 80.

Dude, we're in Australia & will have a generic form of original formula unlike the US

Verwon, you're wrong about this medication!! The formulation of oxycontin which is now Oxycontin OP, has changed under the guise of being tamper resistant. This new formula release just happened to coincide with Purdue's ending of their patent, which means other companies are finally able to make generic options. Purdue's reformulation gives them a new patent, & another 10-20 years of no competition for them in the US, as they were able to convince government not to allow generic brands of the old formulation, to stop abuse of this drug. This has backfired, as many junkies have found a way to tamper with the new formulation, & its much more dangerous than what they did with the old formula. The genuine patients, relying on this medication to reduce horrendous pain & give them some quality of life, are having many problems with the new formula. These range from headaches, stomach/GI problems to reduced pain control & withdrawal symptoms. The new formulation is made from a type of polymer, that when wet becomes a sticky, gooey mess. The medication is mixed into the polymer, so if their is some undigested tablet in patients stool, they're not getting the full dose of their medication. I am one person that is having problems with this. Ive been on this medication for many years, as the main treatment for a rare, painful disease, that has no real treatment or cure beyond treating the pain. My dose has been stable for about 4 years, but after starting on the new formula my pain has increased a lot, & suffering for the last 6 months or so, I finally agreed with my doctors advice to increase my dose. Im one of the patients that can't just change to another medication, as Im very allergic to other medications. Ive had a range of reactions ranging from hives/rash to full blown seizures & anaphylaxis, so this puts me in a hard position. Im lucky though, as I live in Australia & our government understands their is a need for the old formulation, so generic versions of this have been approved & will be in pharmacies soon. Purdue- the manufacturer & Mundipharma- the Australian distributor, have tried to stop this happening by appealing to our government as they did in the US, but unlike the US our government studies have shown them the need of patients is more important. For those people like Mr Jonathon & JDC's fathers, the only thing you can do is appeal to your government. Put together a group to do petitions & gather all the records/evidence of what this is doing to the patients who this medication is intended for. It would help you to get doctors & pain specialists to back you up with their findings. The government are the ones who have the power to change this, Purdue have pushed for the legislation banning generic or their own previous formulation, they know what problems people are having, but even if they wanted to they cant distribute the old formula in the US. Good luck, I hope the doctors can help your fathers & anyone who is in distress from the change of this medication.

Michelle, I got my first Oxycodone Sandoz today. The pharmacy got them in stock Monday. As mentioned in other posts and links some pharmacies will be refusing to stock the product however Chemist warehouse (which has them on their website) will order them in for you if you produce a script and ask. Other than that find a pharmacist that stocks them. The pharmacy I used had a full range. I am really looking forward to hopefully a longer duration and more effectiveness. I am lucky to get 8 -9 hours out of an OP.

Let me know how you go. Would be interested to hear if they helped you.

Hey Sharon, you've had a rough time by the sounds of it, do you live in Aus or US? Just asking as meds are a bit different depending on who makes thrm & what type each country has, the oxycontins the same & prob ms contin too. Ive always had allergies to different medications, the worst was Tramadol-they gave it to me after i had a hysterectomy & was on a pca pethadine pump. I went into a major tonic clonic seizure, tore open the surgical wound & had bruises everywhere from hitting the sides of the bed. I was out of it for a couple of days after that, & scared the s*** out of the doctors so much they banned its use in that hospital. It sounds to me as though the medications your saying made you sick & have reations to, maybe did the same as Purdue & changed the formula but didnt bother to divulge this to the public. The only reason they did with oxycontin was probably as it was such a high profile, talked about med. the new formula of oxycontin is made out of a scilican- sound unbelievable to you that they can do that? It doesnt metabolise & i dont see how it can be good for anyone to be swallowing, i couldnt imagine any doctors agreeing with a patient that liked to squeeze out a few bits of silican from Bunnings & swallowing that everyday! They say its safe & a special kind of silican but i beg to differ..... Im very careful about what i put into my body & just because a doctor tells you to a medication, doesnt mean you should. When I was first diagnosed with EC-very rare, their was a trial medication that would be inj'ed. through a catheter into the bladder. Its called DMSO & its a solvent made from a derivitive from wood & chemicals. Before I got sick, I trained racehorses & DMSO was an old remedy for shin soreness/splints, I never used it but knew others that did. We were told never to get it on your skin, to wear gloves & a mask if in closed area as its very toxic to the liver (hence, why i never used it on my horses). The vets know this, but the doctors prescribing this treatment didnt, they tend to believe that whatever the pharmaceutical companies make is going to be safe. I didnt have the treatment, but a couple of people i used to talk to on the internet did & it destroyed their livers. Another treatment for EC was hydrolisation -expanding the bladder with saline through a catheter much like filling a balloon with water, I had this done & ended up in hospital hemmoraging for 2 weeks. The other recommendation was removing the bladder, well that worked really well for those who had it done-they died within a year or so after the disease spread to their kidneys & other organs. My advice for anyone who is sick or injured, do your research- many doctors hate it, but its your body & your life. There are many wonderful life saving treatments for disease & injuries available, just make sure your fully informed of the risks (if any) & how often they've been used & been successful- esp. when your dealing with something rare or new trial/new treatment/medications. I hope that helps you a bit Sharon, feel free to ask about anything you want to know, happy to help if i can. Thanx John D, my pharmacist told me a few days ago, that she had seen them in her suppliers products, & they're on the PBS now. Shes getting them in for me, so I should have them when i get my next script. Im hoping that will settle my pain level back down again & i can go down to my previous dose after just having it increased. I have to mention, Ive been getting strange stomach pain & a weird headach (more a pressure than full on headach, hard to explain) the past couple of months. Ive tried to ignore it, but getting worse & then i read on some peoples msgs they have stomach problems & headaches. Mind you could be totally unrelated, will see what happens on the old formula, hopefully everything goes away & i can get all the work, & stuff i havnt been able to do the last few months. Cheers everyone, take care.

It seems that alot of Chemists don't want to stock the generics nor do they even want to hear about them. I have been coping attitude from a few pharmacies, they think that just because u want generics, u must b abusing them. I did find one but I had to hand in the script first before they would even order pills and this is a pharmacy that I have used heaps of times! I pick my 80's n 40's tomorrow.

Michelle thank you for such an informative answer. So much more I want ask you and compare notes. Before I KNEW it was the last refill of methadone that was making me so sick, I went several drs. I could tell there was something going on with my kidneys too. But they all wanted to say it was my back! I knew it wasn't my back. My back was fine. Sadly I have the kind of body and brain the can tell ssomething is wrong WAAAY before it shows up in lab work! For 9 months I tried to tell many diff drs about the kidney pain. Nothing showed in my labs, EXCEPT my ESINOPHILS were elevated OFF THE CHARTS. I didn't know what that meant, but was told it just signified I had allergies of Some sort. Anyway my urine was like water for months. The dat would say there was no color to it, cuz I was well hydrated. One day I got THE WORST PAIN in my side and low back. I had my husband call 911, I'm in arizona, and Washington state. I go back and forth for the weather. ( snow bird)

Anyway I was admitted to the hospital with complete kidney failure. As it turned out the tube to my right kidney ruptured, right where it attaches to the top of the kidney. Several of my other organs were enlarged and inflamed. My pancreas gall bladder and lung tissue. I was later told when urine is absolutely clear like water, I mean going in a cup, not a toilet where water dilutes the color, it means your kidneys ARE NOT FILTERING the waste in your system. The yellow color is the waste. Sorry people don't mean to be so gross/ graphic. Lol I was in the hospital for 10 days. Thankfully I didn't need surgery like they anticipated. Another thing, when I was still taking the methadone, the new refill that made me so sick, I had a seizure.
Never ever had one my life. ever. I had what is called a JACK KNIFE SEIZURE. I was still doing by the time the medics got to my house. That type seizure is when your body goes ridged, but you bend at the waist.. You r stiff like a board accept your torso and legs meet. My forehead was hitting my knees. My legs would come up straight and stiff and my torso would go forward while lying on my back. Hard to describe. The first thing they ask was if I had come into contact with any rat poison or anything with strychnine!!!

I said no absolutely not, but I've been sick for weeks. The medics said again, this type of seizure is associated with strychnine poisoning. Probably a year AFTER I realized it was the new refill of methadone that had been making me so sick ( I had been switched to MS Contin by now) I thought to look up the company that made the methadone, . As it turns out t h at company DID IN FACT manufacturer strychnine!! I really didn't know what to think. A few times a year, I would Google it again, just to make sure I was reading it correctly. Then about 2 yrs ago that ppharmaceutical co. Was bought out by another, and they no longer listed it. I know, you ask if there was some cross contamination why weren't more people talking about their methadone making them sick? Well during that time people were dropping like flies from methadone. Of course the drs all said it was from an over dose. I didn't over dose. In fact my dose was very low. I know how crazy this sounds believe me I do.. Had the medics not mentioned strychnine to me when I had that seizure, I NEVER would have even thought to look it up!

I'm not trying to say that these pharmaceutical co. Are trying to poison US, but this was all around the same time they had all the recalls on 'msCONTIN, IT morphine, oxycodone oxymorphone. All of these were recalled from several different manufacturers. How does that happen? The pharmaceutical co. Said the recall was cuz the tablets were " oversized" They WEREN'T!!! I saw them! This is just such a mystery to me and I was so so sick. Oh also my pain drs does UAs on everyone every three month's. My UA's cams up positive on almost EVERYTHING they checked for. Methamphetamine, amphetamines, (I don't know the diff) valium, thc, morphine, oxycodone, something that starts with a b, Bupa+++++++ something, PvP and dvron don't know that one either. Thankfully my DRs has known me for many years and knew this wasn't possible. He kind of wrote it off to my kidneys being so damaged during that time, but we didn't it yet.... I'm just really confused by all of this. From all the recalls in the US, to the seizureS I had, to the UAs being so OFF! I've just not gotten a good enough explanation to be content and let it go. I know the new OXYCONTIN is making so many people super sick, oh never mind, I won't say more. I know this post sounds crazy. Lol But I'm not. I just can't let it go until I can't find better answers. Any thoughts? Thank you for you response Michelle, oh and what is the name of the bladder disease you have?

Thank you
Sharon

What area do u live in Kashmir? I use the same chemist all the time & have no problem getting them in for me. I suppose they are worried about getting broken in to, but there are other opiat medications beside oxycontin, why dont the addicts steal those? Thats one thing i just dont get, whats the difference?

Hey Sharon no worries, i know exactly what its like to be sick & not get the help you need. the disease i have is called Eosinophilic Cystitis, its extremely rare & the type i have is even rarer. I spent years & years trying to get some help, going to doctors over & over as the pain got worse, only to be told i had a UTI & given antibiotics every time, the antibiotics did nothing as it wasnt an infection giving me trouble & most of time the tests showed no infection, just a lot of blood & high eosinophil count.I find it interesting that you have a high eosinophil count, & some say its an autoimmune disease triggered by an allergic reaction. Whatever the case eosinophils do a huge amount of damage when they start attacking our bodies. In the process of trying to find what was causing my pain, I had my gall bladder removed- they counted over 300 calcium stones, which did cause pain in my back when the tube became blocked, the next thing they did exploratory surgery & found i had endometriosis everywhere, so I made the choice to have a hysterectomy (that was a huge decision as I was only 30) because i believed that was the reason for the massive pain. while doing that, they found my appendix was so inflamed it was about to burst, so they removed that too. Three months later i was still in the same pain but it was getting worse, btw also both surgeries I had complications with infections. i started the same routine at doctors barely able to stand the pain was so bad, but being told i had uti. Eventually I went back to see my childhood GP, i lived a long way from him, but i trusted him. He realised straight away that i had something more than an bladder infection & sent me to a urologist that was a friend of his, telling him there was something very wrong. They did a biopsy & found that I had Ulcerative Eosinophilic Cystitis, & there was a hell of a lot of damage in my bladder lining. That i guess was the day my life changed forever, even though id been sick for a few years & was struggling to work & train my horses in that time, that was the day i found out there was no cure, that i was going to get worse & eventually, it will spread to other organs which will be the end, unless there is a cure found in the meantime. So,I spent 10 years chasing any random treatments & spent all my savings & superannuation on naturopaths, nerve blocks, internal acupuncture & countless other things. i ended my marriage ( would have anyway, he was a d***head) sold my house, my horses & once daughter finished high school, she moved to the place she found a job & I went to live back at my parents (not what you want to happen at 34 but it was my best option) Im extremely lucky to have an amazing family, we all do whatever we can to help each other, but its not not easy to admit failure & that you need help from Mum & Dad. Its taken me years to get where I am now, Ive stopped looking for a miracle cure & I push myself to the limit every day doing the things I love ( those that I can do). I think this is best advice i have for anyone in this kind of situation -grab hold of the good things in your life & enjoy every day as though its your last, give yourself a break ( dont feel bad if you cant work, or do things like you used to, this was hard for me, but im finally able to) Don't be pushed around by doctors, if you think think there's something wrong with you keep asking for help, you know your own body better than anyone. My best piece -do what you want, push yourself no matter how bad the pain gets or how sick you will be for the next week - if you want to do something do it. I spent to long listening to my doctors who say pace yourself, dont push things to hard, I might as well have given up & died not doing the stuff i enjoyed. Of course, be sensible dont do something that will cause more damage, but if its just going to cause a bit more pain, go for it, your in pain anyway. cheers people. Oh Christine, where do you live?

Christine, i live on Mornington Peninsular so not much help for you Im sorry. My chemist has them sitting there waiting fo my next script so they are being made & sold no matter what that pharmacist says. Ring around a few in your area, you will find a pharmacy that understands & will be willing to stock them. When you do find one, make sure you use that chemist all the time & dont tell people where you are getting them from. Im not trying to be mean, It's for the chemists protection. The people that need this medication should be able to get it, but we really dont want addicts breaking in to the chemists that are good enough to stock it for us. Im really serious about this, because if they do we will end up not being able to purchase it anywhere & it will give those against the generics ammunition to have them banned completely. We are very lucky our government understands the need for the previous formula, so make sure we protect that or we will end up like the US with no choice, & I for one dont want to be in the same place ive been the last 6-7 months. Cheers guys.

Thank you Michelle I will take your advice. I read in some of the posts you had put up & my heart truly goes out to you girl - being able to remain strong & positive is a true virtue & I wish you nothing but the best. My circumstance is a lot different as 6 years I was assaulted & held hostage in a car by an addict at the time I was 27 & studying diploma course for it. One morning at about 7.30 some guy came up on me from behind & used blunt force to my head, he had shattered my skull & as a result I had a blood clot to the brain unfortunately it didn't end there. I was unconscious for the entire day as he had managed to carry me to his car that was nearby (luckily this was all caught on surveillance). I remember waking up only 3 times in total, having no idea where I was or who the guy was that was sitting besides me in the car but I didn't have the time to think or process anything as within a few short seconds I'd drift back into unconsciousness again. The third time when I did manage to wake up I realised it was night as it was dark. When I came to this d***head had actually taken me home as he had gotten the address from cards that were in my purse & he had told my mother that he had found me like this in a paddock & my mum she knew right away that it was absolute bull he even tried coming into the house. I just don't understand what goes on in the mind of an addict. My mum tried calling the ambulance 3 times & because she can't speak English that very well as her background is Hungarian they didn't want to take her seriously so on the final call she told the operator that if I died then she would hold them responsible (mum had relayed this all to me afterwards as I had knocked out again this time on the living room floor & I had no clue what was happening or that something was even wrong) I had blood coming out of my nose as well as mouth. Finally about 5 mins later police & the ambulance arrived. Once in the hospital they rushed me in to have emergency surgery to have the clots removed & instead of just drilling holes they had to take out a section if skull. Now it still didn't end there the guy had my phone, school bag books & purse & had not wanted to give it back. When I came to just before the surgery guess who I see at the foot of my bed - yep, it's that guy I screamed & told security that it was the guy who attacked me. Thankfully they grabbed him & put him in a locked room to wait until the police arrived. This room where they put him one of the nurses a few days later after surgery told me was where the lockers are for patients personal belonging & that he had managed to open 5 in total lockers taking money out from purses as well as valuables & once again it was all caught on camera. The police ended up taking him away & his car remained downstairs in the street somewhere & when the police found it a few days later they found all my belongings as well as my blood in the car. They had to do a rape test kit but once again thanks to God nothing in that manner had occurred ( a silver lining). It took almost 2 & a half years before it went to court & being on the witness stand they make the victim feel like the criminal. It turns out that the guy had done this to a few other women & was already on a suspended sentence because I said to the juriours in the court that he had done this before to other woman & had been to jail cuz of it his lawyers had to get a whole new jury in. The courts are absolute f***ing bulls***! The perpetrator of the crime gets portrayed as an angel while the victim of the crime gets persecuted. He did get 7 Years but it isn't long enough. His own mother used to drive him around in the middle of the night & she would buy him what he was looking for! What is so wrong with this world? I just don't understand! He comes out next year - a free person while I had to stop my studying & my entire life. All I have is the scars, the immense & intense head pain & the panic attacks. I'm sorry for rambling on but it's the first time since court that I've gone through it all over in my head again. The new tablets I noticed something about them, something was making me I'll & when I had informed my local chemist of this they said that I was most likely imagining it (just not on those words) I thank you for getting back to me & I will be making some more call tomorrow. Thank you Michelle you are definitely one strong woman!

HI if you guys need any Questions answered or any info into what chemist will have the New SANDOZ GENERIC OXYCODONE then i can help ??? Im a Pharmacist here in NSW i work at a small family owned Pharmacy in Newcastle (for legal reasons i can't name my workplace or name names or i will loose my job and liscence) My father has refused to stock the new generic oxycodone by sandoz or any other generics that do not have new tamper resistant formulas and so have many other pharmacys. its up to the leading pharmacist wheather or not they will stock them ...WELL THATS THE DOWNSIDE ... THE UPSIDE IS for a fact i know that every CHEMIST WAREHOUSE will/ have already stocked the generic brand and if you do not have one close to you, then go on the internet with your script or get somebody to help if your not good with computers and you can order your oxycontin online it will only take 2 days to get to you , there will also be about 4 other generics out in stock by the end of the year also will be an oxycodone patch out very soon if anyone says other they are lying or do not know what they are talking about they will be out for a long time so do not worry they are hear to stay , ALSO the GENERIC sandoz is made based on the original formula of the OC oxycontin and in my personal opinion they are just as good if not better if you need help with YOUR current OP oxycontin i can give you a method that us pharmacists know that can take the bad stuff out and leave you pure oxycodone powder which you put in empty capsule ect....... 80mg over 12 hours would be 1x 20mg capsule every 3 hours this would be the same as taking 1 x80mg CR for 12 hours pain relief only difference is you take less more i swear on my 6 years of university and 3 in a lab. i also have a friend hes a GP he has a local practice and specializes in Pain Management and doesn't judge people on there past history or if they are a drug user he will not look at you funny when you ask for morphine or an increase in dose hes a great dr so if anyone needs to be reffd? or any advice or help getting a new dr that understands pain just get back to me

Yes, the generics cost a bit more $39.95 for the 40's and $49.95 for the 80's. You can't ask for oxycontin, u have have to say Sandoz oxycodone. You will be given dirty looks by I can't even tell how many pharmacies, even the ones that u use on a regular basis. If u ask for generics then u r a junkie! But I have to say that they work great, no more asking yourself, 'is it working' or feeling sick because the OP is kicking around in your belly till u throw up, or having to just take more because the pain makes u limp and that just bring back the horrible memories of the accident that put in the state u are in.

Michelle, I shed a tear for u. The horrors you describe, I thought only happened in horror movies, a person could never be so mean or unbelievably cruel. But u r living proof of it. You are strong and brave!!! I wish I was as strong as u, but I am not.

When I close my eyes I relive the horrors of my accident, I was in a snowboarding accident in the US, I snapped both legs on impact and then landed in a yard sale, a km away from the initial point of impact. My feet were wound 360 degrees to my body and I grated bone on bone as I tried to unwind myself. At the hospital the legs of my bed didn't open up so I fell on the ground. That hurt! My surgeon introduced himself to me by throwing my x-rays at me and slicing my bottom lip, while I was trying to stop the bleeding, he says to me "well, u really f***ed yourself up! U r missing an inche of bone in each leg, u will never walk again". Then my fiancée starting cheating on me because he needed intercourse and I just couldn't do it. How do u have intercourse with someone with two shattered legs? I mean I am a sexaholic but even then, I had absolutely no libido. All I did was cry from the pain, I cried from am to pm and even cried in my sleep (so I have been told). Plus, even though I watched what I ate, I went from 57 to 87. So I became unattractive (so I was told), I just thought for once there was more of me to love, but he didn't think that! I spent 9 months in a hospital bed and even now if I see a wheelchair, my first response is to be sick.

I did lose the weight when I got back home to my parents, I would crawl to the swimming pool in the back yard and try my best to swim, then crawl back to the house, sometimes passing out on the lawn, on my back to the house because I left nothing in the tank for the crawl back to the house. I used to be able to go dancing all night long and chased the snow for two yrs. Now, I don't go out, and the only time I went dancing (if u call what I doing as dancing), I only managed 30 seconds and I was in a world of hurt afterwards.

Chemist Warehouse will order the pills for u but they will call your doctor to ask, he may be a bastard and say no to the generics and then tick the box that says no generics so be careful. I am in sydney and have a wonderful doctor now, that I paw every time I see him. I need to get a boyfriend, I think!

Kashmir that's absolutely terrifying, what a horror of an accident no wonder your in terrible pain & i can relate to nightmares & crying in your sleep. My daughter wont sleep in the same room as me, when im having nightmares they are so bad. The odd time we've gone away & have the same room or something, she hates it. You must be an exceptionally strong person, to get through all that & my heart goes out to you. I used to train horses before i got to sick, & pain became to bad, i miss it more than anything else i lost through this, certainly way more than my ex husband-that was a blessing getting rid of him. I know how you feel putting on weight, i have the same problem, going from being a really active person, riding 3-4 horses trackwork in the morn, lugging hay & feed etc. keeps you fit, when all that stops suddenly your body just stops. I eat very little, one meal a day & only a small meal, its a struggle to keep weight off & the medication can cause weight gain too. As for intercourse, Im not able to have intercourse without crying because its so painfull. Everyone here who is dealing with pain bad enough to need these stupid meds, are survivors, are strong & are to be looked up too. The pain we all go through sux, & its impossible for our family & friends to understand, they really try to but they cant. Ive lost friends because of my illness, ive been accused of being lazy among other things, but im past caring what others think. Each day i wake up is an accomplishment, as is each day i het through & i know you get what i mean. Anyway, i picked up my generic oxycontin on saturday & my pain level is down to about a 7 for the first time in months, ive been a 9 & over the past 6 mths so its awesome. Im lucky i have doctors & pharmacist who would never give me a look or accuse me of seeking drugs to abuse, they see what i go through every day & are happy to be able to help. Good luck guys, i hope you find a chemist to help you.

Just to let u all know, not all chemist warehouse's stock the generic oxycodone even if u ask and NO, they do not and will not order for u! Luka u r a big fat fibber! Your best bet is to order it online but then, u have to wait for a couple of days.

Liar? oh ok LOL if anyone wants help getting the GENERIC SANDOZ OXYCODONE i will help you get it, I am a Pharmacist here in newcastle NSW by law they have to dispence what you request unless on your script your DR has tick Brands not for subsitute box otherwise you can get it unless that chemist has refused to stock it the only reason they would say otherwise is maybe they think or know that you want it for other reasons then we can actully even go as far as refuse to dispence all together and tear up your script and you would have to go through so many hoops to get back on it even after waiting days in day even weeks without anything other than over the counter paracetamol/codeine then your DR would be very hesitant to ever prescribe you opiates again look i can phone your local pharmacy for you and request that they order it in for you you would have alot more chance of geting it if one pharmacist rings another one or i could contact a freind in the business and get that chemist to order it in for you and post it to your local post office you have to pick it up in person because of what it is the only thing is you need to get that script to them and they need to hold it for you i really can help ive help 30+ people already from QLD to WA reasons being is i see people all day with debilitating pain and there dr will give them nothing but tramadol or other week pain pills if there even lucky maybe endone 5mg twice a day (OMG a pill that has a half life of 3 hours at best twice a day what about the other 19 hours your in pain it dosnt make sence to me and then i see people underweight with track marks up and down there arms who are abuseing there pills insufflating them up there nose or IV'ing into there arms and they are prescribed 2x80mg oxycontin 3 times a day with fentanyl patches and dilaudid every day!!! reeking of Marijuana why do the bad guys always get the help that the GOOD PEOPLE NEED AND DESERVE we catch some of them 5 minutes after getting there meds there behind the shop big bin or in there car IV'ing it. I WILL DO WHAT EVER I CAN TO HELP PEOPLE WITH LEGIT PAIN

I have a back injury I get 80mg oxycontin for and I have been on nexium for years aswell with bad stomach problems. At times I find it hard to swallow the reformulated oxy's. If my script is for oxycontin 80mg and 40 mg am I able to get the sandoz brand even tho my script says oxycontin and not sandoz oxycodone?
