Will Lyrica Work

My husband was diagnosed with diabetes 10/8/13. He probably has had it for 3 yr. He's is on 750 Metformin 2 a day, 600mg Gabapentin 3 aday. Still in much pain.He also weights 116, has lost 100lbs. in two years Just got prescribed Lyrica 50mg. 3 a day. Lyrica is very expensive. JUST WONDERING IF IT WILL HELP. Any comments welcome.

Unfortunately, no one can tell you whether or not it will help him, the only way to know that is by his actually taking it to find out how it works for him.

There should be a cheaper generic available, though.

And it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, weight changes and mood swings.

Is there anything else I can help with?
