How can you tell if gg 249 are a good brand?
i have a prescription for them and i get them from an online pharmacy whose name should be widely known as a rip off, not only did they short me by two pills but they didn't even provide me with sleep aid or anxiety relief.
Xanax (alprazolam) especially the 2mg bars have been bogus, fake and sold online for years. I even had a shipment of this come to a Walmart Pharmacy once without the active ingredient (alprazolam) in it. Diverted my guess. Manufactured illegally...substituted whatever. Hand-pressed into a fake tablet. You name it ... its happened to this med.
The fake gg249's have an open 4 on them the real ones have a closed for like the one on your computer e.g. 4
Wow this is crazy...As long as I have been prescribed this medication I've never received a fake pill until I got these Xanax. I didn't notice it at first because they look so much like the real ones! Sure enough I look on the computer and these fake ass Xanax are all over the computer! How do the make them and who is doing it? Are they coming from real pharmacys or online ones? I am blown!!!!!!!!

There is no way that I know of to determine if the 2 mg. white bar (which should divide into four parts) is actually the real thing ... especially Brand-Name ... NOT generic. The brand-name medication is about 10 times stronger than the generic. The only place outside of the USA where I get Brand-Name Xanax (only) is a trip down to Tijuana, Mexico. I live in San Diego, CA.
I just took a bar and 3 peach footballs and i feel good. The bar i took was gg249 and the peach were v 2088. No fakes here in maryland. That i know of.
Listen, I'm a pharmacist in CA. The generic and the original brand name have the exact same mg of alprazolam. I've been doing this job for years. Its completely illegal and heavily monitored by the DEA for the generic version to have any lower or higher dosage than that of the original brand name. THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GENERIC AND BRAND NAME. Its all about the insurance companies and what they'll cover. If anyone thinks the generic is 10 times weaker than the brand name they are completely misinformed.
Thank you for that Kevin. We get a lot of insane posters here, but there are also a ton of complaints of the GG 249 made by Sandoz. Since many 'members' obtain their Xanax by overseas methods, any pill is subject to being counterfeit, no matter what it might look like!
I can get xanax bars that can be split into 4 but actually have XANAX printed on them. Has anyone ever heard of them cause i'm pretty sure they are faked.
Pharmacists must be profoundly stupid then!! Try reading the pharmacology report on your precious generics to find out the actual amount they put in them as opposed to the brand names.
Does the REAL G249 have the triangle shaped 4 like this 4 OR Do they have a 4 like you are taught to write in gradeschool! Where the 4 is open at the top???? Answer me that because I have been prescribed them for years and my brother in law had gotten them off the street with the open 4 and he has been really sick with diarrhea, stomach cramps leg cramps runny nose, your basic withdrawal sx! His wore stolen and had been 2 days without any and the ones he purchased did not make him better! If there had been any benzo in it at all he wouldn't have proceeded to get worse! His BP never declined and as I said his withdrawal sx got worse!
amigo, you got the real deal right there! any printed with the xanax brand name are just that, legit, brand name, as opposed to the generic alpraz bars. have fun, and be safe, cause name brand are typically stronger, as they have only a 5% deviation tolerance, where as generics can have as much as a 20% deviation from brand name formula.
Um fanny bandit. I'd rather listen to the pharmacist above over your take on how things work? Also if it says XANAX, they can counterfeit that too?
Your Xanax is real ans the best if there the Bars that have Xanax spelt on them,,and 2 on the other side and the bar has the line in the middle on back where it a

LISTEN CAREFULLY! I DEAL WITH BARS ON A DAILY BASIS. AS FAR AS WHITE ONES GO, THERE ARE 5 DIFFERENT TYPES. THE ONES THAT SAY XANAX ON 1 Side, and a 2 on the back are VERY REAL. THEY'RE THE BEST. 2 types of gg 249, smaller and larger ones.
The larger are chalky and very hard, the smaller aren't as strong and aren't as hard. The ones with 1g 249 are ok... The round four square are eq equally ok. Green bars say S 0 9, Are great, and yellow (buses) r 039 are great as well. I prefer to stay away from any white ones, unless thet actually say xanax 2, because I've personally found the don't have a very long life span. Watch out for Buspar, as they look very similar to a white bar. Always google the #s, and make sure you know exactly what you are getting.
No don't Google Pill numbers. DON'T buy illegal pills. Its a FELONY

This is absolutely wrong info!!! I have ones from a US pharmacy with an open 4 on it and I’m sure walgreens isn’t getting fakes. You might either be getting them outside the pharmacy or are just too misinformed to be in this page.

The FDA etc shows an open # 4 with the letters gg on a single row in the top segment.

If they are not there yet they will be. To me the difference is quite obvious. Be careful and google pics of fake xanax Vs real xanax. If you get them the right way ie Dr. and not the street you are safe. No pharmacy is selling fakes. Just drug dealers that could care less if you live or die.

Everything I've read said a closed 4 was counterfeit, made by Sandoz. They make two different kinds and multiple sites explain the difference. Pretty sure nobody is going to add fentanyl anymore, as they don't want to go to prison. I've had a counterfeit version not too long ago, and could easily tell it was Xanax mixed with trazodone. Been prescribed these meds for a long time in the past, and trazodone makes my hands feel weird in the morning.
