White Octagon Pill G1530

My last prescription pill was a little white round one. This new prescription bill is octagon white and has g1530 on it. Please advise if this is amlodipine besylate 5mg?

Yes, this tablet contains 5mgs of Amlodipine, a generic for Norvasc.

Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, headache and dizziness.

My usual amlodipine is 5 mg, a round white tab marked Z3. At a new pharmacy, the bottle says amlodipine besylate & is octagonal white tab marked LU on one side and H12 on the other. Is it exactly the same medicine? The name is even different - my old bottles never said besylate.
