White Watson 853 (Page 2) (Top voted first)

So recently I received a white Watson 853 that looks identical to the yellow ones; size, shape, imprint. Everything checks out except it does not feel as strong as the yellow. I was then told that Watson is not manufacturing yellow ones anymore so I checked the Watson/actavis website. They had no info on white 853. Are these fake?

I have had the yellow V 853 pill and it worked for my pain. when I got a refill I was given the white pills and they do not work, I felt different, I got a head ache, was irritable, felt sick. there was nothing I could do, I was just out of my money and I have no insurance. The next time I went to walgreens and they had the yellow pills and everything was fine. One more time I needed pain pills I want to walgreens again and this time they wanted to give me the white pills, I said I would go some where else. so now I'm here on this page trying to get answers. Something illegal is going on!!!! people apart from not getting pain relief our hard working money is going down the drain.

Well, I guess I'm not alone. I've been taking the yellow Watson 853 tab - 10-325 hydrocodone/acetaminophen 2X daily for about six years. I'd take my first pill in the morning with a cup of coffee while checking emails etc., then in about 15-20 minute later I can feel that warm fuzzy narcotic feeling kicking in then I forget I have any neck-back pain. No Walgreens has switched to these white ones and they are NOT working at all.

I've read that all they've done is remove the yellow dye but I've noticed how chalky and quickly they dissolve before swallowing. My doctor says that Watson/Actavis have likely switched who's manufacturing them and I'm probably getting inferior quality from overseas. I'll be discussing with my family doctor what other narcotic/opiates/opioids options are available without stepping up to oxycodone or percocet.

Got new script yesterday... Took it to cvs and asked to see the pill before filling. They have the yellow pills there and life is better now.. Shame the manufacturer can't be held legally liable..

IF SOMEONE CAN please get a group to chip in to have these tested asap i found a testing place who will tell us how much of hydrocodone is in these pills but it costs $400 if i could i would do it this has to be illegal ive been reading posts here and it seems other meds r doing the same thing??? this is so bs games these people are playing w us and it makes me sick.maybe the dea is behind it too? wouldnt surprise me the website who will test them is drugdetection . net please someone have this done immediately before these mfers move out of the country.

Yes, CVS has the yellow 10/325 pills with the V on one side and 3601 on the other side, get those because they ACTUALLY work unlike the new white watsons.

I am glad to know this is not in my head!!!!!!!!!!! Since I have had the white pill I feel worse pain with each day and feel more ill also.

can anyone help me? it seems almost ALL of the threads about this bs have been deleted RIDICULOUS..someone please have these tested if i could i would..go to drugdetection they will test for $400 and prove we are being ripped off bigtime why have all the threads been deleted? hmm go to the news and newpapers about this also i am doing it every day to every newspaper and news everywhere i have a dr appt today can anyone help me i was just upped my dose last month now this bs so what i was upped to is not helping me..my pharmacist has amneal brand too is this better? please reply asap thanks

WHY has there not been a recall yet? this is bs. i am out hundreds of dollars each month i cannot get medicaid or on disability and am not able to work. i go through ALOT each month to get pain relief this is beyond ridiculous how can this be legal? it cant be time to find more lawyers ..i have asked the fda why this has not been recalled yet and no answer. ive been waking from excruciating back pain for weeks now every day and has NEVER happened before they changed their pills..and i was on it for about a year.

Has anyone found a better Norco? Anyone try other stores to see what they have. I agree the yellow cvs pill Sucks.. They white Watsons are better..

If we could get together and test them we could sue.. Imagine the class action lawsuit.! Save your bottles!

The white pills are on Watson's website actavis.com under us product page NDC: 00591-2612-05 which contain an active ingredient of 10mg of hydrocodone bitarate and 325mg of APAP You can contact Watson at 800) 272-5525 if you have any questions regarding this medication. You can also ask walgreens if they carry another generic. I was previously prescribed the same medication and previously got the yellow watson 853, but now have the white. Their is no difference in the pills from my perspective.

I really haven't noticed a difference, but you obviously have. I was told by the pharmacist at Walgreen that yellow ones were not going to be in stock. I hope when you go to CVS they will have what you want. Please let us know if that is the case, and also maybe what state you live in, so we can see if this is a geographical issue for watson, or something else.

oh THOSE yellow ones they arent watsons they do not work ..not for me anyway..i tried them last year when walgreens wouldnt fill my prescriptions and they made me tired and nauseated, just like the NEW watsons do and the qualitest brand did. YUCK

the white ones are much weaker,and I still have some yellow watsons left. If they are supposed to be the same why do the new white one crumble easier and have no bitter taste?I have tried others including qualitest and do not get near the pain relief. What to do now? I am tired of fighting. No where to go......greed still winning every battle.

Hi Michael,

Where a bouts did you get the pill from? If you didn't purchase it from an authorized seller, you could most definitely have a counterfeit. The only other thing I can think of, is that it may just be an old version that is no longer on the market.

Right now unfortunately for me their is no euphoria with these as I just had sugery and was given massive doses of Diludiad and Oxycotin. They had me on 120 mg of Oxy a day after my surgery, so right now everything tastes....... Vanilla.
