White Watson 10mg 325 #853 (Page 9) (Top voted first)

Updated

I just recieved a new prescription of norco 853 10/325. The last script was yellow and the new ones are white. The pharmacist said that Watson changed the color but the pill is the same, does anyone know if this is accurate?

I forgot to mention in my side effects listed below the extreme FATIGUE that these cause. I can't believe I forgot to list such a horrible side effect... They absolutely make me feel like I am getting the flu. My body aches and i'm so tired. I know it's them, also, because it happened when I first started taking them a month ago, then I stopped them for a week and only took tylenol and got better, then started again a few days ago and I am feeling the same way again. Does anyone know what might be in them that would cause this? My heart goes out to fellow sufferers.

It has been a few months now since the change from the yellow to the white norco's
I had endured one month of those white norco's and it was more then I can stand, then on to Qualitest, which still had some unpleasant side effects, ( too many fillers and binders IMO)

Well I have been taking Amneal for a while now, and they are working, not quite as strong as the old yellow norco but still effective and just as important however no unpleasant side effects

Try Amneal! Given the situation I think it is a worthwhile alternative

And to activis/ watson you all can go to hell! Greedy SOB's, hope you go bankrupt

A while back I suggested the manufacturer Amneal, and while you cant go wrong with them, In some recent refills I discovered a new manufacturer called Aurobindo, the pill is white with the imprint U03, finally I can say I found something very close to the old Yellow watson 853.

The Aurobindo Norco is even better than Amneal!
Effective, with No nasty side effects, and provides the alertness or energy I noticed I had received from the yellow watson, once my pain was under control.

These ones have helped bring back quality of life.
To me it looks like the market answered the call!!!!

I hope this info helps.....

Screw you watson / actavis!

How can I report this to the FDA. My Mother's Dr said it's the same meds. It clearly is not. I see my Mother in pain, she been taking this med for 2 yrs it helps her get out of bed and do some things on her own. Now this M367 has her back in bed, in pain and doing nothing for herself. She had a major stroke in 2008 and has lot's of pain. we are a month into taking this M367 and just received 2 more bottles. I wont give them to her, they do nothing at all. I even took my myself over the weekend just to see why they were not working for her, it made me very tired and that was it. I have knee pain and having knee surgery in Nov but I deal with the pain because I don't want to be on pain meds and this is an example why. I want this pill tested to see exactly what is really in it, if there is really anything at all for pain in it. I've never experienced such a thing as this. It's terrible what it's doing to people that is in horrible pain everyday & need the meds just to get out of bed.

For those of you that say the white Watson 853 is just as good as the yellow watson 859 for managing chronic pain, congratulations!! You are exactly what big pharma wants...the placebo effect!! I usually take 2-3 at a time, depending on how bad the pain is, but never more than 3 because I will make me sick. I took 4 of the white watson 853 and got absolutely zero relief. I called to make an appointment with my Dr. so I can get a different brand but can't get in until next friday. I will not purchase off the street, as I WILL NOT risk my family or my job. But what I will do is make sure I get some really good herb to at least attempt to take the edge off!

The pharmacist has no control over the manufacturer. They order the medication and they get what they send them. If you don't want a certain manufacturers medication, ask if they are giving you Watson or Qualitest and if you don't like that tell them you will get that one filled somewhere else. The pharmacy is responsible for filling your script as the doctor prescribed. So calling your doctor will not do any good. You have to ask before they fill it, what manufacturer is your Norcos?

I also agree that the yellow Norco worked better for me. The white 10-325 pill that has 176 on it also worked really well for me. I just picked up my script yesterday & it is the 853 Watson & they don't seem to work as well. I don't understand why the people that are allergic to the yellow dye couldn't take the white ones? Why did they have to do away w/the yellow all together? It just doesn't make any sense to me.

I've taken whites years ago and were just as effective as yellow. However the is NEW white is a lie and will soon be exposed.

The white ones work just as good as the yellow ones in my experience and I have been on pain management for many years. Everyone is different I guess.

I have been taking hydrocodone 10 for over 15 years, and there is something very different about these new Watson 853s. I get from one national chain and that's the only ones they carry. My husband has a script for the same exact medication, and his insurance requires him to use a specific pharmacy chain, not same one I use. I only use the pharmacy because of the discount and it is $100 cheaper for me to go where I do. But, i have noticed in the last year or more that these pills are not as effective. And I also take ms contin 30 mg. So, I already take a sustained release med, and that's simular to the way these act. And that's not what they are supposed to be. Sometimes, it's like I haven't taken anything at all. End up having to take extra to get relief, and still don't really get any. My husband gets the same medication, just different pharmacy, and they dispense the white ones with 176 imprint. OMG, world of difference with just one. So, there its definitely something up with these. Either there is fillers or they are made to slow release. Either way, that's not right. We need them to do what they are supposed to and work they way they are suppose to.

Go to Walgreens. Never had a problem with them. The pills don't work the same because they cut down on the amount of Tylenol in them. Just take an extra Tylenol it should work.

I have the same issue with the Watson 853; it is like they took all the pain killer out of the tablet. There are some unscrupulous pharmaceutical firms that are making big bucks because these medications have been watered down. There is more that needs and "can be done" about this issue, but it has to be a group effort. {edited for privacy}. Legal action is what is needed to tell big pharmaceutical firms it's time to shape up. Or if you know of any litigation that has already been started please advise.

Maybe it's the governments way of getting people off of them; changing the effect of the pill monthly so people no longer want to purchase them. Sooner or later they might just be selling us all sugar pills, wrong - yes.

Yep - I just got mine last week and they were white. Got them from Osco near Chicago.

I saw my doc on Weds and he changed them - he wasn't happy with what I told him as far as them not working and the weird side effects, so he changed them. However, he changed them to the 10/500, but still Watson, as we agreed we didn't want to veer too far from something that had been working for me for so long.

Well, these ones aren't any better. I still get queasy, everything tastes funny, and they still don't work. And yes, they're white, too.

I see him next Weds, so I'm just going to ride this out doing as close to nothing as possible. He said he'd change them again if these didn't work, either.

I'm so tired of pills, but with my fourth back surgery in a year only a few weeks away, I'd like there to be some semblance of relief at some point, even if it's just temporary. I already feel like a guinea pig and now this is just adding to it.
