White Watson 10mg 325 #853 (Page 9)

Updated

I just recieved a new prescription of norco 853 10/325. The last script was yellow and the new ones are white. The pharmacist said that Watson changed the color but the pill is the same, does anyone know if this is accurate?

I have been now on the Qualitest rather than the crappy white norco's, and while I have had much better pain relief with switching to Qualitest, they unfortunately are leaving me drowsy all day. One surprising positive benefit with the old yellow Watsons, was the increased energy. It was like having a coffee & pain relief at the same time without any jitters

Anyone here who is taking the Amneal 10/325 can you describe the results, regarding pain relief & any other side effects?

Might have to switch again, ughhh. This all is such a damper on my life. FU Activis!

Hi Webhead -

The Amneal aren't too bad as far as pain relief. They don't have the same effect as whatever the magic ingredient in yellow norco had, but they don't make me queasy or drowsy, so for now, I'm happy with some pain relief.

They don't seem to be quite as strong as the yellow norco, and with my current situation, my doc has increased my dosage if necessary.

Hope this helps..

yup every other brand did the SAME thing to me tired and nausea..this is BS

Melissa, Increased dosage? My understanding 10mg is as high as Norco goes

Kr, what other brands have you tried?

10/325 is as high as norco goes. For now, I'm still getting 10/325 but not Norco and because they aren't as effective, I can take 2 at a time if necessary (or 1 1/2 depending).

I'm still calling independent pharmacies looking for Qualitest (sp?).

Really, your best option at this point since norco are so very messed up is to have your script written for hydrocodone 10/325 - this keeps you from being locked into a certain "brand" or its generic equivalent.

Melissa, Try Target pharm.
10/325 is the strength of norco, generic or otherwise

I take it you are dissatisfied with Amneal?

I have tried amneal and qualitest and neither work both make me tired and nauseaus the yellow Watson was the ONLY one that worked.

Kr, I agree, the only one I haven't tried is Amneal.

The yellow Watson, was perfect, I have concluded it is greed, they are now using inferior ingredients, and perhaps adjusted the amounts as well, not necessarily even the active ingredients.

I might have to see about a whole different type of pain reliever, something I didn't want to have to do

Well, well, well look what I just came across, this company is so about the money, so it should come as no surprise that they likely tinkered with the medication by using inferior ingredients to gouge customers

I say if they want to "leave the US" then dont allow their inferior s*** products to be sold here anymore.

I too have tried to email Actavis (Watson) through their website, how convenient for them that it doesn't work, so if you only call, there is no record! IMO this company and their CEO Paul Bisaro is on a huge money grab, and could care less about those taking their products, He will wreck the reputation of this company in the long run

Take a look at the press release from yesterday, they are basically trying to "leave" the US and relocate for.....wait... Tax purposes, as in avoiding multiple millions, so I am now convinced the medication change is no coincidence, this is a new and comprehensive corporate strategy where greed is king!

Not only should we all contact the FDA, but we should contact members of Congress (I know, doesn't sound promising, but you might be pleasantly surprised, there are still good ones out there) and let them know what's going on, perhaps if Actavis, feels the heat, and their money grab out of the US is threatened, they might reconsider, its simply unconscionable what they are doing, but now, not surprising.

I wonder if some attorneys would look at it, or even some journalists?

If they are able to get away with this, what next?

Has anyone considered asking their doctor for Vicodin? I was on Vicodin for a while before I was switched to the Watson yellow. I have been off of pain killers for a long time, but I will say the Vicodin gave the same exact feeling/energy as the yellows. Good luck.

Call the Watson product number - 1.800.272.5525 x34399. Tell them of the side effects from the white tablets (they're making a record of every call they receive) and you'll be transferred to someone responsible for noting the side effects and they'll ask you some additional questions re: how long and why you're taking this medication.

The most notable things from my 30 minute call with them this morning were the dye wasn't removed because of allergies - it was removed to make all their pills more difficult to identify when being sold on the street. Also, they're receiving a lot of complaints daily and they're now reading message boards and finding that the boards are supporting the complaints they receive.

The person I spoke with said they may not have done enough testing (duh) on the new formula and many things were changed as to how the product is being made.

They're receiving enough complaints already that Watson's management is taking note. He said Norco is their biggest moneymaker - I told him not anymore as everyone is now looking for an alternative.

Call, complain, and be civil when you call. The rep I spoke with said he gets yelled at a lot - clearly, he gave me a lot of info and thanked me for being nice.

It should also be noted the first woman I spoke with said the only thing that changed was the dye being removed. I was transferred because of the side effects - they have to take note of that.

Think about how silly that statement is about removing the dye to make it more difficult for those selling them on the street to identify! Huh! Even the dumbest person can identify the pill by the numbered imprint. This excuse is so lame, and if you stop and ponder it makes no sense. So already we are catching the company being dishonest, because the 1st reason was because of people being allergic to the dye. I can accept that a heck of a lot more actually, It's all immaterial though.
I tend to believe the rest of what they stated to you.

There revenue must be down, I know I switched as have many others.

Ok, one thing, Vicodin is NOT only a 5mg tablet, they ate also 7.5mg/500...Vicodin ES is 7.5/750. The drug is called Norfolk when it contains any of the 3 mgs, 5, 7.5, and 10 but only 325mg of acetaminophen.I don't know for sure if they call the 10/500 vicodin or not. The name doesn't matter much as vicodin, Norfolk, Lortab, etc are all hydrocodone & acetaminophen, aka APAP.
Someone mentioned having the doc change rx to hydrocodone but that doesn't matter bc u are going to get whatever the pharmacy has (see drug names above). It all just depends in the mgs of hydro and APAP in regards to what they call them. The most important thing you need to know is 'who is the manufacturer' of the hydros u are getting.

NORCO NOT NORFOLK

Kr, what do you mean it is impossible to get anything filled in FL? Do you mean anything stronger, such as, or pain medication in general? Why should it be a problem if you have a valid prescription?

I know many have lodged a complaint, however what are they going to do about it and when? It could take months before any changes happen if at all

Christal, i agree about the differences, it is as clear as water.

I MEAN ANY narcotic PERIOD weather it is a valid prescription or not..you havnt had to go through this? where do u live? i heard its happening all over the country. I am in a nonprofit pain group who are trying to get this dea bs to stop so we do not get treated like junkies. I had to go to SEVERAL pharmacies til someone would fill my norco and i am positive anything STRONGER would be impossible. Thanks to the wonderful DEA i wouldnt be surprised if they are behind this BS w this worthless norco. I am trying to find a place who would test it i cant find one, if you can or know of any please let me know asap. I want to send proof that this is bs and then maybe a lawyer?

Yes, Vicodin does come in only 5mg, but the amount of acetiminiphine in it is what boosts the hydrocodone and gives it the effect it does. I was taught this in psycopharmocolgy class. If u google acetiminiphine effect with hydrocondone you'll see this. I like the name brand Vicodin better than any Norco, but due to the acetimin. in it, docs don't like prescribing it too often for those who need to take it often. Good luck to you all. Watson has f***ed many people, or should I say Activus is, and they are profiting big time off of other people's misery.....
