White Watson 10mg 325 #853 (Page 8)
UpdatedI just recieved a new prescription of norco 853 10/325. The last script was yellow and the new ones are white. The pharmacist said that Watson changed the color but the pill is the same, does anyone know if this is accurate?
Mallinkrodt is the worst, this is for sure. The more complaints filed, the more they may be inclined to do something.....it is so sad. I wish everyone the best. :)
Hey All - wanted to follow up on my phone call to Watson. I spoke to three different people as they transferred me around to QC. I gave them all of my info and such, and was basically told the same as everyone else - "nothing was changed except the yellow dye being removed." They were very nice people, and I insisted that they look into it more. I explained that after days of discomfort, a single yellow remaining from last month helped more than two of the white ones. She apologized for my pain and suggested that, for now, I talk to my doctor about finding a different pain medication. Not very helpful, but hopefully we have power in numbers.
For anyone taking these and not getting relief, please please call them. Their number is on gethuman.com and we need to keep pushing them to investigate.
I didn't hear them mention the FDA at all, but I believe they are supposed to forward complaints to them. I will call the FDA directly and hopefully get more info... This is insane.
Hi everyone,
Recently we have received complaints about some of the comments in this discussion thread. Subsequently we will be keeping a closer eye on this forum and will promptly edit and/or remove any future posts which are:
- Argumentative
- Insulting or disrespectful to others
- Off-topic (i.e. not related to the original question)
Please keep this discussion centered around your knowledge and experience with this medication / manufacturers and NOT your opinion of the other visitors.
Thank you!
Hi Rosey Red,I called the FDA with little results.I don't know what it's going to take for them to investigate this, but they really do not seemed all that concerned.I hope you have better luck than I did.Your right. This is insane. Please let us know how your call goes.Thank you for sharing this with us.
RoseyRose,I'm so sorry I misspelled your name! I know why though,I was thinking of the Stephen King novel. One of my favorites.
I'm so sorry you've had such a hard time.I understand your pain only too well.Mine has been to the point to where I can't leave my home. It's too painful to walk and just making my bed in the mornings is a major feat. This has affected my concentration and I feel like I'm in a fog.I don't know what to do.I live in a small town and the few doctor's that are here just won't listen.I cannot get to a city where I could probably get the care I need. These white's are worthless. The only thing I know to do is to cut out some more necessities and buy the pink's.They are so expensive, but I cannot keep going like this.
Bless your heart,I hope things get better.
I did call Watson, and explained the situation. Will it change anything, who knows, although the more people that call, and more importantly when sales slip they will then pay attention for sure.
I did in fact take the leap and filled for Qualitest 10/325 they are imprinted V on one side and 3601 on the other and are yellow. Let me just say night and day difference. They are working very well, without any of the bad side effects of the "white watson norcos"
Anyone struggling with pain relief because of these terrible white norco's, in my opinion I think you would find better results with the Qualitest
Why would anyone snort Norco??? Yes, the white ones are apparently bad, but what does snorting have to do with needing them for pain? I would like to respectfully say, those who are abusing and snorting Norco are ruining it for those on this forum who are in true pain and don't need the quality of their medication compromised due to abuse....I hope for the sake of those of you suffering, that this situation is rectified and you can obtain the quality of medication you need.
I've found that most of the chain pharmacies have Watson, so, I finally called some independent pharmacies and not only are the pharmacists much more helpful, they happily answer questions when you tell them why you're asking about the manufacturers. My experience with the I depended pharmacy was so good, I'm moving all my medications there. They even deliver if you're unable to pick up and some even offer credit with their stores, which is helpful to those for when money is tight.
I went with Amneal this time to give it a try. It's on par with the old yellow Norco - the pain relief has been tremendous and these seem to last for 6-7 hours, which is nice.
My doc wrote my script simply for hydrocodone 10/325 without specifying a name brand. That also helps in getting your script filled since you're not locked in to a certain type of pill. He also did this script for half of what we'd normally do - he said to call him when these run out and he'd just leave me a script (without an appointment) at the front desk if these worked.
I'd almost given up hope, but between meds that work, the experience with an independent pharmacy, and my awesome doc, I feel like things are on the right path. Finally. :-)
if anyone finds out why the white ones are so weak please let me know i am VERY upset about this. ridiculous ui pay over $200 a MONTH to see my dr and dont have insurance and now this bs after i finaly found one that worked
I also found a pharmacy who has qualatest. They don't have my other medications so its a huge pain in the but. Being in pain and dealing with all this is very hard.
How do I call watson and complain about the new white ones?
a little side note the moth before these white ones came out I went to my normal pharmacy (CVS)and they gave me the other s***ty white ones from the brand that starts with a "M" I said oh I can't take theses I need watson. Then they said we no longer have those. I said well can I transfer my RX to the store across town and she said no the whole company is not going to carry them anymore.
I am so pissed off I thought it was my imagination that theses new WHITE Norco by Watson do not work, so I tested It and gave my 20 yr old HALF of one which would be like 5 mg of hydrocodone..she never takes these kinds of meds and does not FEEL A THING..this is bs and I want my money back from my dr and for these drugs I do not have insurance or a car and it cost me over $300 a MONTH for this bs and to get no relief is really ridiculous I know the fda and this company isn't going to do a damn thing. I am contacting a lawyer which is prob a waste of time too. just like emailing the fda about this. I cant contact Watson which is now activas? through their website it wont let me send it for some reason and I went through this years ago with another med and the pharmacutacal cmp just denied it and said their medicine was FINE . SO its all a big waste of time as well as a SCAM. BS
Best # to call Watson: 1-800-249-5499. 24/7. The more complaints, the more calls, the better. Can't hurt to be proactive.....
how come when i look them up it says that they are activas now?
how come when i look them up it says that they are activas now? THEY ARE only open til 5pm too u gave me watson number but they are now activas
That's what the web says, available 24/7. If they are only there til five now, try before than. Good luck. :)
My Walgreen pharmacist told me yesterday that the new Norco is generic. He said Watso has discontinued making brand Norco and ALL are now generic. I would not accept my Norco 10/325 prescription because generic Norco does not help my pain at all! I am searching to find out is this true, especially since so many Norco users are questioning recent changes to the pill.
Hi Alice -
Walgreen's has been terrible for me with this change. My doctor has had to call them twice - I'd given my doc unused pills to destroy and he gave me different scripts each time, and the pharmacist at Walgreen's did everything except call me a criminal both times.
If at all possible, call around to independent pharmacies - google independent pharmacies and you'll get a link to a list that has all the independents in every city in the US. Those pharmacists are real people (not corporate shills trying to act like doctors) and they're very helpful.
Also, make sure your script is for hydrocodone 10/325 - that way you're not locked into a specific brand (or the generic), so your options are opening with regards to the manufacturer.
I hope this helps. Good luck.
i wish i could go to another pharmacy it took me MONTHS to find this walgreens who would fill for me and i will get in trouble for something if i go loking to change pharmacies now. i do not have insurance and this really is ridiculous. I emailed walgreens saturday and nobody has got back to me. i callled activas or watson and nobody called me back. What else is there to do?call a lawyer? wTF ive also emailed the fda about this and no response either.
I HAVE ALSO TRIED THE 2 OTHER NORCO GENERIC FROM THE DIFFERENT MANUFACTURERS AND THEY DID NOT WORK. ONLY THE YELLOW ONE I GOT FINNALY WORKED WELL FOR ME. THIS IS BS
U NEED TO MAKE A REPORT HERE I JUST CALLED THE FDA PLEASE DO IT ASAP accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/medwatch/medwatch-online.htm
