Ok, I have been on suboxone for 4 years, both n8 pills and strips. These new generics seem neither stronger or weaker. For those of you who cannot break them evenly, I am sure most of you smoke so take a bic lighter, hold the pill against the rounded side of the lighter and push both sides of the pill. It will snap right in half (old dilaudid trick) it takes a little experimenting to get an exact break but you will get the hang of it. Or ifyouprefer, every pharmacy in America sells pill splitters. I find that strange because I prefer them to the suboxone tablets. They come on faster stronger and last longer. They also taste better and dissolve quicker. I am on the 2mg tablets.

*UPDATE* From my earlier post......These new ones are decent, defiantly better than I had anticipated!! It does take a little more 2 achieve the "Normal" Feeling though. It's been a week now and it's ok, I don't notice a BETTER or QUICKER effect from them, it's def. better than migraines and getting sick from those horrid strips!!!!! Hope this helps someone out there!! GOOD LUCK ALL!!

fed law for pain meds is the generic can contain up to 20% to 30% more or less then stated on the label...so you may get a 5mg vic that is actually an 8mg or even as low as a 3mg......explains a lot...how some pills work great but the next dose may be a little weaker

I get the films but i loaned a friend one and he paid me back with one of the half moon 155's. it seems like it did come on a bit more intense and most definitely quicker.. however, this being the first time i don't know how long they will last. i wanted to say also it is not the naloxone that "blocks" short acting opiates.. the reason is Buphrenorphine ..having a much higher affinity for the U recptors ..will not allow any short term opaites attach. the naloxone will make you sick as all hell IF you inject it before you are in full withdrawl but that's the only time it will do it. if you do screw up and make yourself sick..you just have to wait it out. the length will of course depend on how much time passed before you do the Suboxone.

I saw your answe about the new generic suboxone pills that are white. So are they basically the same, just with a different manufacturer??? Just don't want any problems switching from the orange ones. Have chronic back pain and will never take regular pain pills again, thanks for any advice

Ok, I've been on suboxone for around 3-4 years. I started out on the 8mg orange, brand name pill. I switched to the strips about a year or so ago cause they are easier to divide. I'm on the white generic ones now cause they are less expensive. NOW, my point is, I have not noticed any difference between the three, other thsn the taste. I think most people freak out & its all just in their heads that one form is weaker/stronger than the other. I've been weaning myself off the subs and I am down to 2mg a day.
Also, I notice people on different forums, saying they refuse to take pain pills and thats why they take suboxone. Well, sorry to burst anyone's bubble...SUBOXONE IS A PAIN PILL. IT IS AN OPIOD, actually stronger than most other pain pills. So, either these people have been misled, are not educated on suboxone or just plain lying to themselves. Try to just quit after using for a while and you will experience withdrawals. Now, the withdrawals will not be as bad as heroin, oxys, ect, but nonetheless, there will be withdrawals.

They are just generic. They work just as good. People just like to complain. Def dont swallow them. They won't work for s*** and def not as long. Doctors just don't want you to sniff your drugs cause it looks bad. I personally know doctors that say that there really isn't anything wrong with sniffing them. They just can't tell you that.

Naloxone is not a "blocker" its used to discourage IV use. Buprenorphine is what stops you from feeling high. NOT naloxone.

Subutex/suboxone (buprenorphine) IS a painkiller. I guess it takes a really big brain to understand full vs. partial agonists. Google it.

Ya just let them dissolve under tongue for atleast 15mins. Found that if I left itdissolve for 30mins. Got the full effect of the pill

I stopped taking oxycodone on Friday 04/11/14 and went into detox on Monday 04/14/14, released Tuesday 04/15/14. I was feeling major withdrawals and would not sleep with bad stomach cramps. I ended up taking a quarter of a generic suboxin at 3am 04/16/14 and I felt great and still do at 11:30am. I did not want to go the methodone or suboxin route and wanted to know how long this stays in system and when it wears off am I going to feel the full withdrawal effects gain? I was clean for 6 days. So now I am scared to death I just messed up my progress.

I was just switched to the moon crescent tablets- whatever they're called. I heard before switching that they were horrible, but I told myself that I could deal. WRONG. I immediately started having muscle aches(next day), the second day after the switch I became extremely irritated. Everything that comes out of my kids mouth makes me rage with irritation. I have to control myself bc he doesn't deserve that. Even my fiancé has said "what in the hell is wrong with you" so I called my doc she's going to see if we can get the films. If not I'm screwed, unless there's something else I can try. I think these white pills don't absorb as well as the strips which adhere to the mucosa under the tongue, I even noticed that these white pills are hard, the old orange ones were soft pills, they'd crumble if you were careful. But who I knows! Insurance & pharmaceutical companies are going to say it's all the same, when infact the FDA allows for generics to be slightly different in formulation. I'm hoping this all gets fixed, I have two kids to care for, school to attend & my fiancé, they need me to be on my A game!

1. Amneal (Orange Colored Pill, Round) Imprint: AN 415
2. Actavis (White Colored Pill, Round) Imprint: Crescent Moon 155
It seems like walgreens and CVS have these both in stock.
