I believe the marking you're looking at may be a stylized E with the number 44 under it.
And if that is the case, the tablet contains 4mgs of Tizanidine, which is a muscle relaxant.

However, it is not normal for it to make you sick like that for that long.
Is it possible that you just had the flu?
Additionally, it's never wise to take something, when you don't know what it is and it hasn't been prescribed for you.
