I found a white oval pill. It has either G249 or 6249 with slashes between each number. I am very concerned that this is a narcotic and it was found in my home. Thank you for any assistance you are able to provide.

Did you mean GG 249?
If so, the tablet contains 2mgs of Alprazolam, the active ingredient in Xanax, which is a Benzodiazepine that's most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders.
