White Oval Pill 7267 On One Side 93 Other
UpdatedThey are in my stool and I don't think they are being absorbed, cut them in half, now appear as almost round. Can I crush , should I stop taking them and take something else. I have generally diarehha and they float to the top, have taken them out to exam. they expand and take on the color of the stool, when I cut them in half they are soft and white inside the color. Are not visable when my stool is normal but it usually is not.

No, that is how they are supposed to work. Not all pill components are always supposed to be broken down and absorbed by your body, it is normal for some elements, even if it looks like the entire pill, to be expelled in your waste. You are still receiving the medication.
This is actually covered in the patient monograph warnings, it tells you that you may see the pill in your waste, but that you still receive the proper dosage of the medication.
This is a 500mg Extended Release Metformin tablet, that is used to help lower and control blood sugar levels.
And just to reassure you, I will explain how these ones work. Though it may be too small for you to see clearly, these pills actually have a spot on them that is a small opening, covered with nothing but a very thin coating. When you swallow the tablet, there is a substance in there that is similar in consistency to a sponge and your stomach acid causes that tiny covered spot to dissolve, so the opening is revealed and slowly, throughout the day, more stomach acid is absorbed, which pushes the medication out of the pill. As that sponge like substance expands, more medication is gradually pushed out of the pill.
This is how the time released process for these tablets work and it explains why they are soft and white inside, when they've already been processed through your body and you cut them open. Because at this point, you are only cutting into that spongy substance that caused the medication to be released.
And, of course, they are not going to be as noticeable when your stool is normal, because they are more than likely buried inside, when it is more solid, so you'd only notice when you have diarrhea and can see these loosely floating in the toilet bowl.
So yes, the pills are fine and are working the way they should.

Are there any other questions or comments?
When my ex-husband was on a time released formulation of this, for his Diabetes, there was one set of tablets we had where you could actually see where the little opening was, it was just a small round spot that looked different from the rest of the tablet.
