I have been prescribed Xanax for the last few years. My Dr has recently retired and I would like a recommendation of a Dr who can help in South Florida. I have anxiety and sleeplessness.

i’m in bradenton florida and ive been put on 5 or 6 different meds but they won’t prescribe xanax for my anxiety i was prescribed it till i moved here and i’m looking for a doctor that will , i gave every medication a chance for at least 3 months, but i can’t do this any longer. i felt like they were just pushing meds on me can you refer me to a doctor here in bradenton

Sounds judgements. If you suffered from true PTSD and have had neurological problems along with severe early childhood trauma I would make the trip. I take my medication as prescribed and do not mix alcohol or anything else with it. I get mad when other people misuse it because it makes real actual cases like mine go untreated. I don’t pass out or get stupefied on Xanax/alprazolam. It just keeps me well adjusted in so many areas of life. I have tried buspar and vistiril and I assure you they were about as helpful as a placebo.

Just take the Klonopin, other people on this site are desperately trying to get just that!?! It’s an even longer lasting benzo than Xanax. Why wouldn’t you want that?

I lived in Florida and left in 2007. About 2010 they opened up hundreds of Strip mall pain clinics and pills were available everywhere, somewhat like my little town with 8 Pot Shops & nowhere to find fresh food. They closed all those pill mills in Florida and people who really need help have problems finding a provider. Ocala is nice, nothing like Miami, Horse country, stayed at a motel there

Do you know where he’s currently working at? I’m from Naples and really need a doctor to prescribe me Xanax for my severe anxiety, panic attacks and insomnia. Please let me know if you see this. Sorry if I sound desperate it’s just I can’t take it anymore it’s getting worse.

Well yes, he was my Doctor in 2008 in California. He prescribed all sorts of pills in his 'pain clinic', I wasn't seeing him for pain. Last I heard he was arrested in South Florida for providing unauthorized Adderall but still practices. Went right from High School to Medical school in Puerto Rico.
