Where Can You Buy Drixoral Cold And Allergy? (Page 4)
UpdatedI would like to find out about the availability of Drixoral Cold and Allergy pills. They are round little green pills.
In the 1990's I took Drixoral. At that time I was healthy (except for a cold) but I had a side effect. A year later, I tried it again; I had forgotten what the side effect was but WOW, I remembered when it happened again! I felt really weird and my heart was pounding; my heart rate dropped to 40! I thought I was going to die! Needless to say, I never took that medication again and was happy to see it was off the market! In 2005 I had a heart attack; if it was damage from this pill I will never know. Pharmaceuticals like making money; if there is a drug that is discontinued, there has to be a good reason! I never reported this but maybe others did!
it is possible we can find it in uropian pharmacist?
Chlorphen-12 is the generic equivalent to Chlor-Trimeton or so they say now
Re: Lis (# 8)
I would love to know how to get ahold of drixoral it's the only thing that worked for cold and allergies an you didn't have to take a whole box of
I believe Drixoral was a miracle drug that would put all other drugs out of business. And since it was generic no profits were being made.......at least the level of profits the new drugs (Claritin et al) would bring. Curious that something so good, that was NOT discontinued by the FDA for any health reason (per their website) would not be available. Isn't it also surprising that no one else is manufacturing anything with dexbrompheniramine maleate? Collusion? There needs to be an investigation.
Re: Tellusthetruth (# 65)
They took it off the market because the Sudafed was being used by drug dealers to make methamphetamine, so once again the needs of the few outweigh the needs of the many.
Re: Tellusthetruth (# 65)
There is a small pharmaceutical company (Poly Pharmaceuticals) now making several OTC medications containing Dexbrompheniramine Maleate. Their products aren't slow-release like Drixoral was, so you only get 4 hours of dosage per pill instead of 12, but it works the way I remember Drixoral working. You can order it directly from the manufacturer's website: alahist.com
Re: singerita (# 19)
Cetirizine-D is generic of brand name Zyrtec-D. Should be available in the U.S.A. for sure and I would think in Canada. May have to sign for it because of the pseudoephedrine or my friend's Doctor writes her a prescription for it. And the pharmacy can fill it no problem.
Re: Duane (# 3)
