What Is The Substitute Of Tedral Sa Tablets?

I am male 55 years and consuming two tablets of Tedral SA since last 30 years. During this period, I never faced any inconvenience and attack of asthma in any type of weather or circumstances. Now this tablet is not available in market. I need good substitution to this tablet with the same ingredients.

I, am 67 Diabetic nephropathy since last 6 months suffering from throat cough no problem for respiration but during night light wheezing & uncomfortable
I too found great relief for 30 years using Tedral. The people who banned this without supplying a substitute probably never had asthma and should be choked to death so they know how it feels.
Stopping TADRAL SA is medical terrorism. Doesn't the medical fraternity realize that a drug which relieves so many people of extreme discomfort, can be dispensed in a controlled manner instead of banning it?
Tedral tablets were a god send for anyone who had asthma. I had asthma as a child and now as a 54 year old adult still suffer from mild persistent asthma, never an attack only shortness of breath and tightness in my chest. I was on Symbicort which gave me relief. Unfortunately my pharmacy no longer stocks this and the auto substitute is Advair. Advair is not giving me the same relief as Symbicort. I will be seeing my doctor next week for a solution. If only there were still Tedral tablets available, I would be able to breath freely without needing a prescription.
How much effect Theoasthaline in place of Tedral SA. In earlier days I have tried bu the result was not fruitful.
I am suffering without this tablets.so is there any alternative for this tablet?or please manufacture this tablet again.
Subodh can you please let me know the substitute for Tedral SA as I too have been taking it for 30 years now and doctor has prescribed Theoasthalin which I do feel is that effective. What is it that's giving you relief. Please let me know.
From what I understand, there is NO substitute for the old Tedral formulation. Tedral contained some phenobarb, which helped, but didn't really work, to neutralize the stimulant side effects of theophylline and ephedrine. Ephedrine isn't available anymore and the combo of those two drugs caused "speedy" feelings. It's more typical that you'd be prescribed a rescue inhaler for acute asthma attacks (ProAir = albuterol is common) than any oral med. Works faster with fewer side effects.
