My 12 yr old daughter was recently placed in a behavioral hospital and was put on resipdol and prozac. When she was discharged we filled her prescriptions. She was only given a 15 day supply from the pharmacy die to medicaid. Now her RX has run out and I CAN NOT get it filled for at least another 2 weeks at best. I have contacted everyone. What kind of side effects can we expect from her sudden withdrawal?

Withdrawal symptoms from Risperdal can include insomnia, hallucinations, and irritability. It's unfortunate that she had to stop cold turkey like that, as this can definitely make withdrawal symptoms more difficult to cope with.
With Prozac, withdrawal symptoms are actually less likely to occur after going cold turkey, because the medication stays in your system for a long period of time. If withdrawal symptoms (such as headache, tiredness, or anxiety) do occur, they usually improve with time and do not require treatment.
