My 32 year old QH mare tore her tendon sheath and severed the nerve in her left front fetlock joint. She's been on penicillan for 10 days and now can switch to an oral antibiotic. How many mg of each drug should she get? Should it be twice daily and for how long? I have 800mg/160mg tablets on hand.
