What Does Ambien Show Up As On A Drug Test (Page 2) (Top voted first)

May 20-26 I was in the hospital taking Ambien, ativan and cymbalta. Once I left the hospital I took my ambien sparingly. The ativan even less and no cymbalta at all. However on June 16 I took 1/2 10MG of Ambien. I had a saliva drug test that next morning and it came back as THC, Amphedimines and opiates. How did this happen??

Concerta is methylphenidate, which is not, unlike other ADHD medications including Adderall and Vyvanse, a form of amphetamine. However, it is structurally similar, so it may show up as amphetamine on the test, or it might not, depending on the test; whereas Adderall or Vyvanse definitely will.

Yeah your were giving medication during your stay at the hospital. Very common Can't sleep here is a pill. Still in pain here is a shot now your suprised by what a drug test revield to you following. Your MAR will have a list of all meds giving time and dose

Yes you can test positive if your "man" does drugs. Only something he puts hp his nose though. It goes into his nose and into his saliva for an unknown amount of time and if you are kissing or whatever you do it can be transferred. I've never done drugs in my life other than smoking a little pot here and there in high school, I am now 8 months pregnant and back in January at 3 months, I tested positive for cocaine, this after my boyfriend went out and had a long night of partying the night before he came home and we were intimate... I tested positive at a doctors appt and was appalled I cried and couldn't figure out why.. After him,I and the doctor sat down we discussed all the possible reasons why and how and this is what happened. I called several drug programs around to see what they thought and all was verified as well. So I hope that answers your question. And clears some things up about that subject..

If I take a half of ambien twice a month well it show on a mouth swab drug test? I only use this it's my husbands prescription when I work late twice a month.

had urine test show up hydrocodone and 100% do NOT take it I'm on oxycodone 40mg and 15mg baclofen 20mg 1 tablet twice a day and 2 at bedtime it's a muscle relaxer Xanax 1mg 3 times a day diclofenac 50mg 2 times a day topiramate 100mg 1, two times a day fetzima40mg 1 a day . have no clue why hydrocodone showing up go back to pain doc end of month if it shows up on last test I did doc going to get rid of me unless I can talk into a better test than urine test like blood work but will see soon.

Question for the pharmacy student, I'm an RN and work in a hospital and from what I understood is that like you said, the typical urine tox screen we do tests for amphetamines, but not typically methylphenidate. However, I recall learning that if the molecular structures are Similar between the two meds, one taking methylphenidate can have a positive screen for amphetamine. Same goes for phentermine and Dexedrine. The test isn't specifically looking for Dexedrine, but since the structure of it is so similar to that of amphetamine, certain tests will read Dexedrine positive as an amphetamine, or methylphenidate and phentermine as well.

I have failed a drug test at my Dr and for things I've NEVER done. I have several friends who have failed them for various things after using their children's urine! We were all in positions in which our drs or employers wanted to get rid of us. We all have no doubt that we were all getting false results.

The ambien can cause a false positive for opiates, believe it or not. (I'm prescribed but haven't been drug tested since I got on it a couple months ago). I'm guessing the cymbalta is the reason you failed for amphetamines unless you're prescribed & take meds for ADD like myself (adderall). If you had marijuana within 45 days, THC can still show up on a drug test depending on the person. If you don't smoke, it's possible that the Ativan is obviously a benzodiazepine, so that's why you failed for benzo's.

I disagree. saliva tests are not accurate at all. i had them for years and took thc on a regular basis and never failed for it once in the years i had them. And many people i know have had false positives and also some antibiotics can give false positives. I failed for pcp once and never once in my life have i done that. i gave the antibiotic name to the person testing me after it showed up and they said that it was very common to get all kinds of false positives for crazy things. So its not out of the ordinary at all for saliva tests.

you most likely were admin these drugs while in the hospital, all you need to do is request your file and ask that ALL meds given are documented.

You can't get drugs in your system from your partner. I'm not even a doctor or anything close but I'm a recovering addict and know for a fact you can NOT. Don't post info your unsure of people on here as questions to get real help. BTW Wikipedia can be modified by ANYONE so look other places first.

The only thing I take is 5 milligrams is Ambien a 800 milligram ibuprofen and I just did a drug test and it showed up that I had methamphetamines in my system. The first drug test that I have ever been told that I failed so something's in one of them

Fyi, for anyone already in hot water, if you take generic allergy relief on a regular basis, maybe for sleep or what ever, it will show up on urine test as METHADONE I've never touched the stuff, thats kind of scary.
