I have been taking wellbutrin XL for depression. I self diagnosed myself after going through a nasty divorce due to not having medical insurance. I feel like it has helped me! I need to take a drug test for employment now and I'm afraid that it's going to show up as methamphetamine after reading some posts! I stopped taking it about 5 days ago. Do you think it could still cause a false positive for methamphetamine?

I have taken wellbutrin xl 300 mg for 3 yrs and have experienced very different effects of the drug from different manufacturers, to the point my family has asked if I have been taking my meds. They have been known to make me more severely depressed with the aches and pains, low self esteem, zero libido and severe confusion. Now mind you this happens without skipping, missing or running out of meds. This has happened when I would have meds from one manufacturer that did work and when I got it refilled then I would experience some or all of these severe changes depending on the manufacturer of the drug. Has anyone else had bad experiences with the Zydus Wellbutrin XL? I responded really well to 2x150mg of the Activis brand, for about 6 weeks but 10 days on Zydus 300mg was like coming off it all cold turkey. Nothing done, scatterbrained, tearful and like I was back at square one! Thank God my Walgreen pharmacist had heard this before, called my Dr to get a new Rx for 2x150 Activis and squared it away with my insurance company. Hi. After a cocktail of psych meds, I am now on 300mg of generic wellbutrin. Finally, the depression is lifting. I am going thru a move right now and would never have been able to pack up and be motivated if not for the switch to wellbutrin three months ago. I've been through hell. I take 300 MG wellbutrin but seems to confuse and disorient me. I am diabetic type 2 and take glimpsed 2 mg., Adderall and opana. Could these be confusing me? ## Hello, El! How are you? Wellbutrin can cause that as a side effect in some people that take it, as reported by the FDA. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, nervousness and insomnia. Most side effects are usually transient and will go away in time, once your body gets used to a medication, but that may take 3 to 4 weeks. However, it they worsen, or don't go away, it could be that it's not the right medication for you and you may have to try something else. Is there anything else I can help with?

What are the affects of combining Welbutrin xl 300 and Deplin 15? I've been on Welbutrin for more than 10 years. Recently went to the doctor complaining of lack of focus, concentration and memory loss. She prescribed the Deplin to take with the Welbutrin. After one dose I feel agitated and irritable. I couldn't find anywhere when I researched that Deplin helps with concentration and focus. Everything I read says it helps depression by boosting the antidepressant you're on. Funny thing, my Welbutrin side effects say it can cause lack of concentration. ? I've been taking generic Wellbutrin XL , made by Par pharmaceuticals, for the past months. Has always worked great, no problems. Last week I went to CVS to pick up a refill , and they gave me the same tablets as always, made by Par pharmaceuticals. But all of a sudden, after I take it, I feel really good for about 3 hours and then all of a sudden my mood plummets and I feel foggy and confused for the rest of the day. Could Par have changed something about their release mechanism? Is that possible? I've never had issues with them until now. This has never happened before. Hi I started taking the generic Wellbutrin SR 10 days ago. The first day I took 100 mg in the morning and at night and I felt really sick to my stomach so the next day I got a crazy idea of cutting the 100mg in half and taking half in morning and half at night. I was ok until two days ago and I feel like I have the worst hangover. I finally called my doctor and she put me on bupropion hcl 75 mg cause she said you can't cut the SR pills. I took the bupropion hcl this morning and I still feel like i have worst hangover again. Hello! I recently was switched to the the Sun Pharma version of my Bupropion SR and wanted to know if anyone has experiened or heard of trouble with them. So far, they seem to be doing the job, but I recently have developed some upper (not stomach) abdominal pain which cannot be really pinpointed to anything. (Closest so far is a pinched nerve round the rib cage) Until recently I hadn't really concidered if the switch in medicine could be the reason. Any feedback on this brand's version of Wellbutrin? As a sidenote, I had been taking the Watson version(WPI 839)for about 2 -3 years with no problems, and previously had an extremely poor reaction to Teva (an extreme crash). I had a urine test and the doctor refused my meds and terminated me said i tested positive for ecstasy and i dont even know what it looks like never been around it and the only new meds i started is wellbutrin.advair disk for asthma and spiriva for asthma...so was wondering what it is classified as...or if either of them can be a false positive ## The actual name is far too long to type, mainly because I feel too lazy at the moment, but the shortened form would be MDMA. Hi All, I just started 150mg Wellbutrin XR and 25mg zoloft 1 month ago for Binge Eating Disorder. I loved it! Trying to find the right combo though. 2 weeks ago I couldn't sleep at night. So I started Trazadone at night. It's a tad better but it lessens the Wellbutrin affect with my BED. I'm wondering how many take the instant release? Thinking maybe 75mg in the am and then half that the afternoon to help me sleep better. I've been on Wellbutrin since late February. Started on 75mg went up to 300mg. Was experiencing anxiety and over eating. Carbs and sweets cravings. And worst of all I'm still depressed. I'm really seriously thinking of going to see my dr to get me off this crap! The last I need is to gain weight and still feel like crap! Really I think I'm done. It's has always been difficult for me to find and antidepressant that works for me.. Not sure what to do. I also notice I'm angrier on this medication. I began taking Wellbutrin about a year and a half ago. I started at 200 mg. And am still at that dosage. It caused me to lose about 30 pounds, which is great. It gave me energy and suppressed my appetite. But within the past few months I've noticed the medicine doesn't work as well as it used to and I'm gaining the weight back dramatically and my diet is the same. My question is, if my doctor ups the dosage, would it help me lose weight again? Or is my body already used to the medication to where it wouldn't be as beneficial as when I began? ## Hello, Hans! I take 300mg Wellbutrin every morning. I usually take either Norco or Percocet for pain (10/325's) but i am out right now. Will a 30 or 45mg morphine react badly because i take Wellbutrin? I accidentally doubled my dose of wellbutrin and now I am shaking. I've had several hours of trembly hands. Does anybody know if this is common? And how long will the nervous shakes last? ## Hello, Jonah! How are you? Did you experience any other adverse symptoms? Yes, Wellbutrin has been known to cause that type of side effect even at lower doses, in some people that take it, as listed by the FDA. Other side effects may also include nausea, dizziness, nervousness and insomnia. I tried it once for smoking cessation and I had to stop taking it due to the trembling and nervousness it caused. It's difficult to say how long they may last, it really depends on your body. If it worsens, or if you start to experience more symptoms, you should seek medical attention.

Anyone else have bladder pain or burning with the Sun Pharma Bupropion SR? I was recently switched from another generic and the side effects immediately began. I have had no other medical, medicinal, or lifestyle changes. The symptoms present very similar to interstitial cystitis. I'm working with a urologist now to rule out any other cause. ## The FDA lists that this medication may cause urinary tract infections, as a side effect. Has your doctor checked for that? I tested positive for MTHFR and my doctor prescribed 7.5 Deplin daily in conjunction with my 300 mg daily of Wellbutrin. The first day was wonderful...lots of energy, great mood. However today, my third day on Deplin, I've been extremely irritable. Does anyone have any experience with this side effect and whether it goes away?
