Weight Loss From Hydrochlorothiazide, Hctz + Triamterene

What is the most weight lost by anyone on this drug? I have been taking it for about 3 mos. and have lost weight, but I do not know what is normal.

This is a medication used to treat high blood pressure, it contains a diuretic, so it does remove retained water from the body, but IT IS NOT A WEIGHT LOSS DRUG.

VERWON, I am taking this medication for high blood pressure and not for WEIGHT LOSS. I am concerned I may be losing too rapidly. That is why I asked. My question may have been misunderstood.

I have been taking this drug Triamt/Hctz for over 2yrs now, and i have lost some weight not a whole lot, but i was just wondering if the drug is known to cause weight? I know its not a weight loss drug!...but weight has been loss since i've been on it. Pls satisfy my curiosity!.....has anyone else experience these symtoms?...thank you, barbara46....charlestonsc

I started this med 11 days ago and have lost 11 pounds. The weight just keeps dropping, which in my case is ok because I started at 220. I too am a bit alarmed at the rate of which I am losing this weight.
