Wegovy Side Effects

Does anyone have experience with Wegovy side effects (e.g. diarrhea), how long they last, etc?

Diarrhea is listed by the FDA as a very common side effect of Wegovy, along with headache, dizziness, bloating, and heartburn.

Side effects typically hit their peak at around 4 to 6 weeks, after starting a medication at a steady dose, then taper off in severity.

Has anyone else that's been taking this medication experienced side effects?

I think the diarrhea is happening less. That may be because I eat almost nothing. I’m afraid if I eat regular meals I will poop and throw up.

The diarrhea went away until I moved up to 1.7. Now it is severe. Will eating any carbs or sugar make the diarrhea worse?

I am having most of the side effects we were warned about. Nausea, heart burn, fatigue in a big way, and I have just started the 1.7 dose.

Anyone experience epigastric pain while on Wegovy? I had a complete abdominal ultrasound and the technician asked me to lay on my side while checking my right side towards my back and asked if it hurt while she pressed? Freaked me out. I’ve also had occasional bouts of stomach pains accompanied by diarrhea.

Yes. My idea was that it is because taking it once a week is too often, with a big weekly shock to my system. However, I'm not totally sure I am correct, because the problems sometimes hit a day after the shot, and sometimes later. Anyway, I told my doc of this idea and she just switched me to Saxenda, a daily inj. that is in the same general drug class but is less effective per studies - My goal is now to keep off the 55 pounds already lost. Right now I am very hungry, but, then, I'm at the Saxenda starting dose.

I have taken 4 Wegovy injections of 2.5 on three and 5.0 on the last one, and have been experiencing slight nausea. I’m not diabetic, so I’m wondering if it’s causing my sugar to be too low?

I have not lost any weight. I am now up to 2.4 with Wegovy. The first week of 2.4 has been hard. Diarrhea, very tired, headaches very unmotivated. I have read that some people don’t lose weight until the 2.4 amount. I hope I feel better the second week.
