Watson Vs. Mylan Generic Lorazepam Side Effects. (Page 22)
UpdatedBeen on Sandoz mfr. lorazepam for 10 years; no problems; no need to increase dose. Sandoz stopped mfr. Now, can only get these generic's & Actavis. Having lots of troubles getting results; either nothing or zonked. Anyone else w/any experience which mfr. is closer to Sandoz (since FDA approves up to 2% differences in generics). Thank you.
Re: pjcentral (# 398)
Not sure if you seen my other post about contacting Valeant? They only make the brand they say. According to them they've never made a generic. Crazy because when they took over Biovail I was told it was a generic. I had to stop taken it because my insurance wouldn't pay for a generic when they said other generics were available and cheaper. Might be why Savannah is having a hard time being on the brand now?
Has anyone ever tried Exellium?!! I’ve never heard of it but a girl I work with uses that brand... she doesn’t take it daily. I tried one of the Actavis and I feel so zonked out and just weird and dizzy. I do not like it. I’m so upset about Mylan! I wanted to at least try one knowing Mylan is discontinuing. So I have half bottle of this crap and Mylan. Would love some feedback on Exellium!
Re: Jamie (# 422)
I've heard of it Jamie but I have never taken it. I've read out here many had good luck with it. Any idea's who makes it. Cause I'd like to know as well. Don't want to be negative but it's most likely one discontinued or taken over by the ones we can't take. I'm going to research it let you know what I find out. Any others know please give a shout out here. Also any updates of the new Sandoz I think Henry spoke of?
Re: Gabby Hayes (# 423)
Jamie from what in can see it's made by Major Pharmaceuticals and that's Leading Brand. It has EP 905 on the tablet for 1mg. I just tried that stuff last month with no luck. Made me spaced out. Some say it's a placebo and taste like sugar. Doubt it's a placebo it just probably doesn't have enough of the active ingredient. Can anyone else confirm my findings. Pretty sure that's what was on my pill and this was what I found online.
Re: Jamie (# 419)
I took it back when it was first released. Then Biovail bought out the original company that made it. Took theirs and as I said my insurance wouldn't pay for a generic when there was many others available. Didn't work as well for me any ways. Seen others speak about this. No idea whether it's a brand name or not. Pjcentral says he's had the original and Valeant and they work the same. Savannah and Pj both have insurance that will cover it. Pj says he has to pay a extra premium cost on his insurance to get it. Scroll down read the otner post that's what I did. :)
Re: Gabby Hayes (# 425)
Ugh yes! Thank you just researched and saw it is the leading junk everyone is talking about! Gabby what kind are you using right now?
Re: Gabby Hayes (# 425)
Jamie follow-up. I never adjusted to either brands you asked about. From what Savannah is saying she's now having problems with the brand. As for whether your doctor would help you get it all you can do is ask. That's what the two I spoke of had to do. Mine wouldn't plain and simple. It did work for me I just needed more. But I can't afford that priced out pill either cash wise. Thinking I may have to try a different benzo. Not looking forward to that. Still waiting for replies on my other post. Also whether I can find a sublingual in a generic form of lorazepam. I need to call my pharmacist or call around. Been too hot to do anything right now :(
Re: Gabby Hayes (# 424)
You’re absolutely right! It does taste like a cube of sugar and it didn’t do anything for me. I am prescribed 1 mg twice a day and even when I took them closer together did nothing to help anxiety. What I heard is that it’s cheaper bec they can take out as much as 20% of the main ingredient and use more fillers. I think that’s what all of these companies are doing. My friend north of me just called her pharmacy and they carry Leading so she called a different store and they have the Actavis brand and the pharmacist told her some of his patients say it’s better than the Mylan. I can’t believe it, but we’ll see.
Re: Jamie (# 426)
Mylan just like you and running out of it as well.
Re: Deedee (# 428)
As many have said out here from what I've been reading the past few days each person varies on what works for them. Everything I've posted I've taken with no luck. Leading didn't taste odd to me it just didn't work. It only kept me from going into major withdrawals while I tried it. But I could feel had I stayed on it I was going to have problems. But that was my experience.
Re: Gabby (# 417)
I found out my vitamin D got really low again . I have go tan in a tanning bed I’m allergic to the vitamin D pill form . After I went and tanned I felt so much better ( serotonin levels went up ) The pills seem to be doing good now . No more headaches , I know that our anxiety is complex and many things can make us have it . Mylan was the best generic I ever took ! I have tried , Watson , Teva , ranbaxy , sandoz, actavis , qualitest and leading brand .
Leading brand did nothing at all .. Watson was giving me a lot of jaw tension . Teva did good , ranbaxy really good , actavis nothing , sandoz lots of break through anxiety . Qualitest worked but only for two hours then I felt like I had not taken anything. . Mylan like I said was the best generic and I would give it an 8 compared to the Ativan . I think Mylan was the closest to the real thing !
Mylan needs to come back for all who can not get the name brand . As far as insurance goes we had to fill out paper work, dr had to fill out paper work. Also I was thinking about twigs 7 That person is a vet . Anyone who can not afford to pay for Ativan because who can ???? If insurance will not cover if reach out to them . They have a form you can fill out if insurance will not cover it ... you may get help from the drug company .
Re: Savannah (# 431)
Yeah I thought about asking Valeant if they'd help me out getting their brand. That might be a option if all else fails. Problem with that is finding a pharmacy that will order it for me. Most of you all that have spoken about being able to get your pharmacist to order what you want are blessed. Like I read Verwon say out here when you call many of them they think you're drug seeking. That and they don't like have alot of these type of drugs in shop due to getting robbed. Certainly doesn't help those who are actually taken it. Glad to hear your brand is balancing out now.
Re: Gabby (# 432)
If it’s a pharmacy you have used for a long time, they should value your business and want to keep you as a customer. The bigger chains may be like that like CVS, Walgreens, etc, but I got outta that a while back and found a small family owned pharmacy who treat you much better. I’ve been on pain meds for severe scoliosis, and multiple surgeries for years, and they’ve never made me feel like that. They stock all my meds with no problem.
So our only options leading and Activas? I tried two of the Activas, one yesterday and one today. HORRIBLE. Made me soooo tired and spacey and dizzy but heart racing so bad and anxious. I’m trying so hard to make my Mylan last. I don’t know of any other brands. :(
Re: Deedee (# 433)
I've had pharmacist in the past that would help me out like that. They've retired way before Mylan decided to pull the plug on many of us. The one I have now is touch and go. I haven't been able to find one as of yet that I have full confidence in. There's a big stigmatism with many pharmacist with benzodiazepines. Just like opiates. Something I'm so thankful I have never had to experience being on. But I don't want to go off topic here. My main concern here is finding a Lorazepam that works.
Re: Deedee (# 433)
Every individual is different you shouldn't give out false information it's just not right. If you're not correct on the information then stop giving it out. You could hurt someone.
Re: Deedee (# 433)
You said you did good on Teva? Do they still make it?
Re: Gabby (# 417)
Sorry Gabby I didn’t answer this one before. I have never take Ativan before, it’s always been generic lorezepam. When I first started the Ativan on the 22nd of May, I had been in bed sick for over 14 days from the leading brand. I could not function and felt so horrible. Within about 40 mins after taking the first Ativan (Valeant) I felt so relaxed but super out of it. It was so much stronger so strong I could not drive for the first few days of taking it. I was able to cut a pill out of my daily dose because I did not need the amount I had been on even with mylan. I think the only Ativan I had been given was by injection at the hospital years ago. For everyone in here go to the Valeant website. They are in Canada. They have a form you can fill out. If your insurance will not cover it they offer to help the way the form reads. I have missed 3 calls from them so I know they were going to work with me. Since my insurance decided to put me on a diff tier I can pay my 30 dollar co pay. Then I get the brand.

I'm a bit confused here. You just said you got the brand name Ativan on the 22 of May. Question, if you've been on the brand name since then why were you contacting Mylan? If your problems were resolved having the real deal why would you be out here on this thread complaining that you can't get it? Why would you manipulate the conversation like you needed Mylan when in fact you already have brand name from Valeant? What invested interest would cause you to call Mylan for over a month if you were in fact on brand name? I've read back some two months trying to help myself find a brand that will help me. I also seen the post about someone thinking there's one person posing under different names. I clearly can see that as well. I don't know who Wally is. But I have to agree that many of us are not well. And this doesn't help others playing games.

Wow,I really don’t understand where this is coming from. I’ve never given any incorrect information. I’ve been as honest as I’m hoping everyone else is. We all have enough problems and certainly don’t need more. I’m really offended by this comment and am only relating info that has happened directly with me. How in the world I have given info that could hurt someone, please explain??? I was in the medical field 35 years prior to severe depression, and severe scoliosis which has so far necessitated 3 back surgeries. I don’t play games with people!!
