Been on Sandoz mfr. lorazepam for 10 years; no problems; no need to increase dose. Sandoz stopped mfr. Now, can only get these generic's & Actavis. Having lots of troubles getting results; either nothing or zonked. Anyone else w/any experience which mfr. is closer to Sandoz (since FDA approves up to 2% differences in generics). Thank you.
It is true that Watson was bought out. But I still find their specific brand to be superior to any other generic lorazepam
Not true. Last Saturday I just refilled 2 mg 90 count Watson. Walgreens carries Watson. I break them in half. Very effective for my anxiety.
Hi,
I found out that Watson was bought by Actavis. I found the Actavis brand totally ineffective, but Watson no longer exists. YIPES.
I found Watson to be the best for me... just never know what will be OK for people. Sorry your Mom got sick to her stomach on Watson. Never had that problem. But now I can't get Watson anywhere as it was sold to Actavis (which is useless).
CVS was able to get Sandoz brand generic for Ativan 2mg for my elderly mom. She said it worked the same as the name brand. Mylan sent us to the hospital. Watson made her sick to her stomach. Hope this helps.
I've been on Ativan for years at 1 mg. 4 X per day and now all of a sudden this doctor takes me off with 1 mg. the first day and then .05 mg. each day until Dec. 30th and I've had so many problems with coming off such as severe sweating, no appetite, my legs are constantly moving along with other issues. My original doctor told me he didn't want me to come off from it at all but these jerks are terrible. These jerks wouldn't even take my call. What can I do? I've had 4 mental breakdowns.
I hear you on the quantity limit and 29 day wait period between refills. I don't have insurance. I have Walgreens wellness card $20 yearly. Watson 90 count 2 mg $61.00. Great price. And it's Watson.
I am currently taking the Watson lorazepam last month they gave me a different brand that didn't work at all. I told my pharmacist at Rite Aid if they can only prescribed Watson when refilling my medication- and he said no he has no control over that and that they only get or allowed to get a certain amount a month as some new rules are changing which I think is BS. Rite Aid and CVS and Target -are the most expensive if anyone has to pay out of pocket.
I am going to switch to Walgreens as they have a larger selection of manufacturers for generic meds. I refuse to accept Rite Aid's BS and suffer with a brand that does not work.
If you do not have any presc. coverage- there are Rx savings cards on the web. Good Luck!
I am thinking of switching to Qualitest because Watson and Mylan don't work anymore. Is it good? Do you feel it working (calm you down)? People say it's junk. Looking for honest opinion. The Sandoz that you got is the old Actavis. They bought it a few years ago when Watson bought Actavis. Watson had to sell the formula to them so they could buy Actavis. Are they any good? do they work?
I took purepac for years and worked perfect... then was told watson bought out purepac... watson sucks have to take twice as much ...im looking for a different manufacturer . .activis bought out watson.. so activis is watson now and it sucks... does anyone know of a new or different manufacturer i can get ativan from that may work better cuz watson just isnt working
The V4008 is Qualitest which I have been on for years and works great for my GAD.
I just got a refill and they gave me Sandoz, only took 1/2 mg so far, jury is still out.
My 89 year old mother has been on name brand Ativan for years. Her insurance (CVS Caremark) will not pay for anything but generic now. We got Mylan brand and all night she experienced nausea, vomiting, stomach pains and felt like she got hit by a truck. She stopped for a week and tried it again, and the exact side effects returned. She's in tears. Will try Sandoz or Watson. Her insuarance told us to ask doc for something else. i detest CVSCaremark.
I am sorry your experiencing such a bad horrible reaction to that brand of lorazepam. You can take the rest of the bottle of medicine back to where you got it from and tell them that you are having extremely bad reactions to it. Most pharmacies will take it back and allow you to choose another brand of lorazepam if available. If not available go to another store like walgreens, which carries a very good brand of lorazepam. I hear Costco has the best brand and delivers. Unfortunately generic brands are only required to be + or - 20% difference from the non generic brand formula of Ativan. and with most stores they will often change brands based on what generic company will offer the cheapest deal. I've found cvs to be the worst . Rite aide, Safeway, and walgreens carry the same brand that is good (Watson 241). What store did you buy it from so I don't go there? I hope that helps.
I have been on Watson for 14yrs. One milligram three times a day anmd it always worked great for me. When I refilled this time I got "Lorazepam" a white pill with a V on one side and 4008 on the other. About one hour after taking this. I began uncontrolled crying with terrible anxiety. I don't know what to do. Any suggestions will be very appreciated. Thank you
mylan made me feel like i was gonin insane.. ranbaxy was the only brand i could take i think im getting off this stuff for good kefir does help with anxiety and boosts the medicine....
I just hope they never change it. Works like a charm for me, too.
Excellium has worked perfectly for me. Went through the same problems as others when Rambauxy was taken off the market with new generics not working. In fact it seemed they made symptoms worse. Anyway, I go to a small pharmacy in Riverview Fl call RXOasis Pharmacy (813) 677-6000. You have to go in person to pick up a controlled prescription so this may only help a few.
I'll have to look up what the Watson Lorazepam pill looks like. I'm continuing to get Watson Lorazepam (Watson on the label) from costco.
Their Mail Order Pharmacy is great, low prices and excellent people to speak with.
If you go onto the costco site, go up to the top of the page to find "Pharmacy" and click on that ... then make sure you then click on home delivery unless there is a costco near you.
You have to call either the mail order or local costco to find out IF they still have the Watson brand.
I know the Mail Order Pharmacy in Washington State (all mail orders go there) still has it as of June 2015.
Good Luck.
What city and state is your walgreens located? I ask because like you I take Watson pill 241. I just refilled at walgreens. And in the past walgreens changed to sandoz and it was very powerful in 1 mg, which is my dose. I had to cut it down to 1/4 of a pill and it took me two weeks to adjust to it. I was very happy when they stopped carrying it. Also what pill number is it?
Thanks
I used Randbaxy brand Lorazepam for anxiety for years, and it worked very well for me. When they switched to Qualitest brand, I had an adverse reaction. I ended up in the hospital, scared to death to try their brand, Watson? Randbaxy stopped making it, they say for the next 3 yrs. but will not say why. I don't use it very often, & besides that, I'm just afraid of using the wrong one, so I wait until I'm desperate enough, not even once a month. and pray it will work. It's also supposed to help my seizures, but very seldom helps.
