Watson 853 - Is It Norco 10/325? (Page 3) (Top voted first)

Updated

I got a prescription for generic norco and it has watson 853 imprinted on it. I was wondering if I am getting the correct medication or if I am being ripped off at this pharmacy? It is yellow.

i have a disease called fibromuscular dysplasia with multiple aneurysms. I also have arthoscleroisis and BAD knee pain (from years of pain)...also migraine headaches, and carotid fibromuscular dysplasia (with narrowing of carotid to the brain...) sorry, I'm rambling...i have IBS systems and cannot travel far from home due to pain and sudden (I mean sudden diarrhea)...ok...my rx's have been fiorional w/cod 30 mgs, hydroco/acetam 20-325 for break through pain, paragoric (no longer available by prescription so get it through a compounding pharmacy...also, plavix (stent applied to cut off blood supply to one of growing aneurysms), also 2 other aneurysm surgeries and existing renal artery aneurysms and a brain aneurysm (small, so they are watching)...I am rambling because it is so important to me that people do not think I am drug seeking...ok...(finally!) because of my gut problems, (and the aspirin ...325/pill, I take 4 per day), I have requested to go on Norco...I am to pick them up next Wednesday...(hoping this will eliminate gut problems somewhat, tummy aches and most of all, cut down on all rxs I'm on...so...may I ask for your advice? and is Norco 325/10 stronger than hydroco/acetam 10-325 ("brand name" vs generic? I guess...bottom line...is...even though I'm already 68, I DON'T WANT TO DIE, but I want QUALITY of life for remaining years...I use to be so active! Thank you, oh thank you all for any/all advice you can give me?
Sincerely Betty

hydrocodone generic is NOT the same as Watson Norco brand. when I take the generic I end up in the emergency room with severe pain in my liver, head and stomach. there is a big difference.

No you are not gritting what you paid for! I have been taking the yellow narco 10/325 for 9 years and recently Walgreens filled my script with the white 385's. I had to take 3 to get the same response as the yellow. I asked my Dr. Who informed me almost all of his patients are reporting the same problem. Walgreens is the ONLY large chain that has made the switch because the manufacture chargrs a few cents less. I got a refund from Walgreens and now go to CVS that does still carry the yellow version. shame on Walgreens not giving us the choice and putting the bottom line ahead of their patients health.

Ok so Karen, your daughter is correct: that's lortab: 7.5/750, meaning 7.5mg of hydrocodone, 750mg of Tylenol... Alla: your m357 scored tab is Vicodin 5/500: 5mg of hydrocodone, 500mg of Tylenol... In response to the white round WW 2410, those are somas, or carisoprodols; the usual dosage is 350mg and it's a muscle relaxant, a potent one at that! AND JUST TO CLEAR THE AIR: norco, vicodin, lortab: they are all the same thing, ALL made up of hydrocodone and Tylenol! The things that give them different names are the amounts of drugs in them, both hydrocodone and Tylenol. Even if you compare a 5/325 and a 5/500, the first is a norco, the second a vicodin, because of the difference in the amount Tylenol (the second number). The first number will always be the amount of mg of hydrocodone, and will never be higher than a "10." This is the important part! Example: let's say you have a 7.5/325 and a 7.5/750... You'd MUCH rather prefer the 7.5/325 for a variety of reasons, the main one being to protect your liver!! Always be careful to not exceed 4gm (4000mg) of Tylenol in a 24hr period! Good luck!!

Not a damn thing, I've been talking them for a month and have had NO success, could be because I stopped eating altogether, just a hand fill of almonds and yogurt with oatmeal. Waste of money in my opinion.

The whit oval shape pill marked m357 is a 500mg Norco as the m367 is the 1000mg Norco. You just type in on the search bar and type everything that is on the pill, the color and shape and it will tell you exactly what that pill is,and what it's prescribed for. It will tell you the dose as well, very easy,I do it all the time to check what meds I'm getting.

Watson 853 is a white version of the Norco but without the yellow dye. I was given these after years of being on Lortab 10/500, which our wonderful government says is too much tylenol. I was on brand name and they were pink, solid in color. I was devastated when they stopped making them as I have allergic and other serious reactions to so many meds and dyes, including chemo. It had to be discontinued during my second infusion, I was allergic.
