Watson 853 - Is It Norco 10/325? (Page 3)

Updated

I got a prescription for generic norco and it has watson 853 imprinted on it. I was wondering if I am getting the correct medication or if I am being ripped off at this pharmacy? It is yellow.

As I said to to the pharmacist he is the drug dealer as without my doctors rx I would not know how to get ahold of pain medicine. so who is the drug dealer now everyone that fills the scripts are the dealers legally

It's a matter of which pill will work best for you. Norcos are narcotics,Tramadol are not. They work in entirely different ways. The Tramadol is worth giving a try. Less side effects, about the same pain relief strength.

7.5 mg hydrocodone and 750 mg Acetaminophen

That was the best response I've read yet. Accurate, to a point, and funny as hell-o pearly gates. :-)

hydrocodone generic is NOT the same as Watson Norco brand. when I take the generic I end up in the emergency room with severe pain in my liver, head and stomach. there is a big difference.

the difference, even tho both made by watson, is that the FDA permits only a 20-25% difference in bioequivalency between generic and brand name. (if the drug companies were actually monitored as i have had many batches of rx drugs that do not work and i have had to take 1.5 or 2 times my prescribed dosage. Thus, watson's brand name "Norco's" are technically stronger than their generic name. It's a way for the company to make more money and if you have good insurance, get name brand Norco. That way you know you are getting the full chemical make up and not any diluted s***.

No you are not gritting what you paid for! I have been taking the yellow narco 10/325 for 9 years and recently Walgreens filled my script with the white 385's. I had to take 3 to get the same response as the yellow. I asked my Dr. Who informed me almost all of his patients are reporting the same problem. Walgreens is the ONLY large chain that has made the switch because the manufacture chargrs a few cents less. I got a refund from Walgreens and now go to CVS that does still carry the yellow version. shame on Walgreens not giving us the choice and putting the bottom line ahead of their patients health.

This is the worst medicine to take, you will go through severe withdrawal. Trust me you don't want this, google it, I'm not the only one who has gone through it.

YOU ARE VERY LUCKY, AS YOU GOT THE RIGHT THING IN WATSON 853. BE GLAD THEY DIDN'T GIVE YOU IP 110, WHICH IS THE LATEST SUBSTITUTE FOR 10/325 HYDROCODONE , ACETAMINOPHEN. MANY PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING THAT THEY DONT GET ANYWHERE THE SAME RESULTS FROM THIS IP 110, WHICH CHEMICALLY IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE SAME THING, BUT YOU ARE FINE WITH THE WATSON 853. IF YOU LOOK IT UP, IT WILL HAVE THE PROPER INGREDIENTS AS YOUR NORCO BRAND HAS...

SEE THERE,,, NOW THIS IS THE FIRST PERSON WHO FINALLY AGREES, THAT BRAND LIKE NORCO, AND GENERIC LIKE WATSON, OR EVEN MUCH WORSE LATELY TRY THE IP 110, THEY CALL THE SAME THING,,, ARE NOT THE SAME. AND GOOD FOR YOU, AS IM AN ENGINEER, YOU PUT SOME NUMBERS TO IT SAYING 20 TO 25 PERCENT OF DIFFERENCE IS ALLOWED CHEMICALLY BY THE FDA... THEY HAVE BEEN LIEING TO PEOPLE IN TELLING THEM THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE, WHEN IN FACT IF YOU ARE RIGHT, THERE IS UP TO 25% DIFFERENCE ALLOWED. AND I ASK ALL OF YOU, DO YOU THINK IT WOULD BE 25% MORE INGREDIENTS , OR 25% LESS... SELF ANSWERED, TO KNOW IT WOULD HAVE TO BE LESS OR IT WOULD BE DANGEROUS. BUT BY DILUTING IT, IT IS STILL SAFE AND THEY MAKE MORE MONEY,,, FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY, SOMEONE HAS COME FORTH AND TOLD ON THESE DISHONEST PEOPLE.

Ok so Karen, your daughter is correct: that's lortab: 7.5/750, meaning 7.5mg of hydrocodone, 750mg of Tylenol... Alla: your m357 scored tab is Vicodin 5/500: 5mg of hydrocodone, 500mg of Tylenol... In response to the white round WW 2410, those are somas, or carisoprodols; the usual dosage is 350mg and it's a muscle relaxant, a potent one at that! AND JUST TO CLEAR THE AIR: norco, vicodin, lortab: they are all the same thing, ALL made up of hydrocodone and Tylenol! The things that give them different names are the amounts of drugs in them, both hydrocodone and Tylenol. Even if you compare a 5/325 and a 5/500, the first is a norco, the second a vicodin, because of the difference in the amount Tylenol (the second number). The first number will always be the amount of mg of hydrocodone, and will never be higher than a "10." This is the important part! Example: let's say you have a 7.5/325 and a 7.5/750... You'd MUCH rather prefer the 7.5/325 for a variety of reasons, the main one being to protect your liver!! Always be careful to not exceed 4gm (4000mg) of Tylenol in a 24hr period! Good luck!!

I have been taking prescription narcotics for 10 years straight now due to ruptured disks, torn ligaments in my back and ruptured disks in my neck, ive had cervical fusion amd double lumbar fusions and I also suffer with permanent nerve damage in both legs amd sciatica, this is where im getting at, I was taking the blue loritab 10/650 then started taking the pink loritab 10 amd had alot of pain relief, now im on lorcet 10/650 which were greenish blue , well now they've taken the colors out of the pills and I find, none of them help at all, I have to take 2 or 3 at a time, idk why they removed the coloring from the pills but they have surely screwed the ppl who need them, has anyone researched this and if so, what did you find out about it?
