i kept getting sick after every strip or tablet of suboxone i took.i was a chronic pain patient for 17 yrs. and a former nurse b4 i got sick with lupus fibromyalgia ms ddd and herniated discs l-4 and l-5.after much research i figured out the problem.told my doc who didnt have a clue and got put on subutex instead suboxone has an artificial sweetner called acesulfame potassium and if u r allergic to sulfa drugs..bam suboxone willl make u sick..love to all.hope this helps someone who suffered like i did b4 researching it on my own

Wow thanks for the info..I have been going crazy trying to figure out why I am all hives and picky. I am allergic to sulfas and highly allergic to Crystal light. Have been on Suboxone for 6 months and have been irritated for 4 months. I decided to research came across this. Thank you!!

I am allergic to Soboxone also...as i type I'm itching everywhere, I told my doctor I have two weeks to be on this drug. Hopefully he will put me on Subutex, I'm highly allergic to Sulfur ...it seems like he don't believe me..I have no reason to lie. To old for that. I know one thing if anyone is allergic to Sulfur they will not be able to take Soboxone ty

Wow, I am very sorry that you were having such a problem, but very glad that you're doing better now.

Not everyone that has a sulfa allergy has a reaction to every variation of sulfa, so it is really difficult to know what you may or may not react to, but I think it's just best to research everything and steer clear to be on the safe side.
