Can I take supradol (after tooth extraction) while taking warfarin? ## Hello, D! How are you? Sorry about the dental problem. No, you shouldn't take this, unless your doctor specifically tells you that it is safe for you to do so. Supradol contains the active ingredient Ketorolac, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and it can actually cause additional blood thinning. Is there anything else I can help with?

whats at least 5 otc drugs containing warfarin?? ## Warfarin is a blood thinner and is available by prescription only, there are no over the counter preparations that contain it. The reason for this is due to its unpredictable nature, it can react with many foods and a person's INR must be checked regular to make sure they are taking the proper dosage of it. I can't remember taking my 4mg dose of Warfarin today. I have a mechanical heart valve and my INR is stable and tested every 3 months.. Shall I take 4mg now which would mean if I have taken it earlier, I will have taken 8mg today? ## Hello, Allan! How are you? I'm a person who had mitral valve replacement 12 year before my doctor said to avoid high intake of vitamin k because of i'm taking warfarin (blood thinner tablets ) tablets. can i take this becosule capsules for vitamin b12 ? is it safe for me ? ## Hello, Mahendra! I have been drinking & taking warfarin for over 1 year now pretty much nightly & have been keeping my INR 99% of the time where it is suppose to be? So what is the big Hype about not drinking or only 2 in 1 week period? ## Hello, Terri! How are you? I take 3mg of warfarin daily. As supradyn contains vitamin K is it safe for me? ## It's highly doubtful, since Vitamin K can effect your blood clotting, it should generally be avoided, when taking Warfarin, usually you are even told to avoid foods that contain a lot of it, such as spinach. They may be able to adjust your Warfarin dose to accommodate for it, or help you find a supplement that doesn't have vitamin K in it. My dad takes it and his doctor was able to help find several options that he can safely take. ## can you tell us the name of that substitute supliments ?

Found half or this pill in my house trying to find out what it is - WAR with TA under and looks like a 7 on the other side ## Hello, Angel! How are you? I'm not completely sure, since we don't have the full imprint… However, with the WAR on it, I think this might be a Warfarin tablet, it's a blood thinner. There is one that's orange, oblong and has the marking WARFARIN over TARO on one side and a large number 5 on the other, so only seeing half of that could easily cause it to look like a 7, since you'd just be seeing half of the 5. Have been taking warfarin for quite a few years now for antiphospholipid syndrome. I have recently had quite extensive dental work done. I have had lots of issues with bleeding which resulted in my having a vitamin k shot, and a few trips to A & E. Can anyone tell me the difference between having blood taken by finger price or taken intravenously? Yesterday I had to have my INR repeated at the dentist request. Taken by finger it was 1.7 which is low and out of range for me. The I had to have bloods done and my INR intravenously came out at 4.2!! so which is the correct reading?? I Have been told not to take any warfarin for 2 days. If I went along according to the finger price test, the clinic was going to boost my warfarin dose? none of this makes sense to me. Hello. I am a care worker and one of my clients is a mid 50s gentleman with ms. I recently went through all his medication to look for risks, and noticed he's been taking zinc and magnesium with it. We moved the minerals to an other part of the day, so that should be ok, but now it turns out he's on quinine. The same doctor prescribed both. I know quinine can potentiate warfarin, but he's already on both, his gp knows this and the warfarin clinic is aware as well. What would you do? He wants to stopp taking the quinine, but i'm not so sure. Hi I have been taking warfarin for 2 years now and cannot get it to stay between the 2 and 3 INR. I'm usually low under the 2 or high above the 3. Highest is almost a 5 once or twice. Lowest was under a 1. Is there food that I should not or should be eating?? I take alot of other medications would they interfer? If someone can answer these questions I would apprecaite it. Can anyone help? My INR is at 4.0. I'm wondering if I should skip my Plavix dose along with my Warfarin. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. ## I'm not on Plavix but when my INR is that high my dr. has me hold the warfarin 1 or even 2 days. When in doubt I ALWAYS call Walgreens pharmacists, they always give me good advice until I can check in with my doctor. ## Thank you very much I should have thought of that. We found a small round brown pill in my sisters school clothes it was small round brown but dad said the inscription was lr but not really sure ## The closest match I've been able to locate is that of a round yellow pill imprinted with LR, which has been identified as Panwarfin (Generic name - Warfarin) 7.5 mg. Is Ergo 7 + contraindicated when taking Warfarin ? Thanks, Pat ## When it comes to comparing natural supplements with prescription drugs, there unfortunately doesn't appear to be any reliable source of information pertaining to possible safety concerns or interactions. After looking at the ingredients in Ergo 7, I have no reason to believe that there would be an interaction of any kind. However you may want to play it safe by starting with a small dose and just working your way up to see how you respond to the combination. I hope this helps. Is it safe to take warfarin Mg-4 and Hydrocodon-acetaminophen 5-500 together on the same day? ## Taking them together may increase your INR and the risk of bleeding, because the Acetaminophen may make your Warfarin more effective. It isn't that they can't be taken together at all, but that the prescribing doctor should be monitoring your INR levels even more closely than usual to adjust your Warfarin dosage, if necessary. Is it safe to take Warfarin and Hydrocodon-acetaminophen 5-500 together on the same day? ## They can be taken together, but it may affect your INR, since the Acetaminophen can make the Warfarin a little more effective, so it can increase the risk of bleeding. I have been on Warfarin for 3 years with no known problems. I want to consume diatomaceous earth and can't find anything saying if it is o.k. to do so. ## Hi Anita, Although I can't seem to find any specific details on interactions with Diatomaceous Earth, it is regarded as a non-toxic, safe substance made up from fossils of freshwater organisms. In my opinion it should be fine to incorporate with a prescription drug, but you may want to feel more assured by talking to your doctor. Have you taken this supplement in the past with any success? ## No. I have never taken it but have been reading a lot of positive information on it.
