Voltaren Pills And Tylenol Pm

Can I take Tylenol pm 3 hrs after taking Voltaren? I was at the ER and have an abscessed tooth and took the Voltaren pill as prescribed, but still hurt and cannot sleep.

Tylenol PM is not as strong, so it is doubtful that it will help more than the Voltaren. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Voltaren as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach irritation, and increased risk of bleeding.

Have you consulted your dentist, yet? Generally, an antibiotic is also required for such an infection.

In addition to Verwon's response, I wanted to answer your question re: "Can I take Tylenol pm 3 hrs after taking Voltaren?"

According to the University of Maryland Medical Center (umm.edu / drug interaction tool), there are no interactions listed between Tylenol PM and Voltaren (Diclofenac).

This does not necessarily mean that no interactions exist. However, I haven't found anything stating otherwise from my own investigation.

If in doubt, I recommend contacting your prescribing doctor and/or pharmacist just to be on the safe side.
