I am a heart patient with low iron and have been advised to take Ferritin inj... Is it safe? ## Your iron being low is far more dangerous than undergoing to treatments to rectify the problem, according to the NIH. However, you should be made aware that some side effects may persist for the rest of your life, such as headaches and joint pain. What other medications do you take? Some of them may be contributing to the problem. ## I am presently on Cardace 2.5 mg + Cardivas 6.25 + HCQS 200 + Dytor 10 + Lipicure 20 + Ecosprin 75 along with meds for Diabetes. I also take a supplement called One a Day and Folic Acid.

i am a hypothyroid, can i take keragalo forte to prevent hair loss ## Have you discussed this with your doctor? Keraglo Forte is just a nutritional supplement, so there is probably no harm in taking it, but you should check with them to be certain, because some vitamins and minerals can have a effect on how well other medications work or how much of them is absorbed by your body. It is listed as containing: Biotin USP 10 mg N-acetyl cysteine USP 50mg Calcium panthothenate 100mg Sodium selenite USP equivalent to Elemental selenium 60mcg Elemental copper 3mg Zinc oxide 22.5 mg And, as a supplement, there is no guarantee that it will help to prevent hair loss, though some people have had good results from it. ## Use cobadex czs from last 2 years i am sufffering hair loss due to hypothyroidi...

Does Cerefolin NAC have to be prescribed by a doctor? I just read that it can help with depression. Is this true? ## Yes, this is a prescription only medication, used to treat vitamin deficiencies. It is not approved to treat depression and I have not found any information on it being used in that capacity. ## My doctor has prescribed Cerefolin NAC for depression. I am 40 years old and am also being treated with Welbutrin SR 150 mg three times a day for about ten months. I have been taking Cerefolin NAC for 18 days and have noticed a huge difference in the way I feel. ## I was precribed Cerefolin by a Nuerologist because of the severe fatigue and memory lost and cognitive issues with my fibromyalgia. I was wondering how it has helped you, how quickly you see results...and is there a way...

This tablet is listed as being a prenatal vitamin, but it is also sometimes prescribed to treat severe deficiencies in any of the vital nutrients that it contains. The FDA warns that it may cause nausea and constipation, as side effects. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been a blood pressure patient for 10 years. I'm age 33. My doctor said there's no issue but I used to take telma 40. A week ago my bp was 100/150, 100/140, 90/130. So I took an ecg but there was no issue on it. The doctor changed the medication to nebicard 2.5 to be taken at night and cresar-AM in the morning. My creatine level is 1 and urea is 26. So is it harmful to take these and will they affect my liver and kidney?

I found a little round gray pill in my kids pocket. It had no number, so is it a vitamin? If so, what kind? ## So is it a vitamin or not I really need to know if so what kind of not what is it ## Hello, Amanda! How are you? Unfortunately, since there are no markings on it, I am unable to identify it for you. The U.S. FDA requires all prescription medications to have markings to enable their identification, in case of emergency, so we can rule it out as being a U.S. prescription product. However, it could be any one of a large number of over the counter products. Thus, it is most likely not anything dangerous, unless your child knows someone that may have access to foreign medications, but short of paying to have it lab tested somewhere, there's no real way to be sure of what the tab...

My friend has been taking these White diamond shaped pills everyday right before soccer practice, he says they are energy supplements. I took one from him and cut it in half and the white is only a thin layer on the outside the inside is brown speckled with small yellow, dark blue, and black spots. Does anyone know what this pill is? It has no markings. ## If there are no markings, it is going to be difficult to determine what it contains. We can rule it out as being a U.S. prescription medication, because they are all required, under law, to have an imprint to enable their identification. However, it could be any one of a large number of over the counter products. I've seen many vitamin supplements that meet this description, however, there is also a chance that this may be a forei...

I am a diabetic patient and I consulted a dentist for braces. After cleaning the teeth, she gave me vitamin c 500mg Limcee tablets orange flavour. Is there any problem to have the tablets as I am diabetic? ## Hello, Anamika! How are you? I'm sorry, but I don't know what all the ingredients are in these. However, what I would suggest is that you ask a local pharmacist/chemist, they can probably let you know if there is any sugar in them or not. Is there anything else I can help with? ## thank you ## she gave me vitamin c 500mg Limcee tablets orange flavour. Is there any problem to have the tablets as I am diabetic?

Have hard time swallowing pills. Want to know if I can cut in half a vitamin c timed release pill. ## No, it is not a good idea to cut or crush any time released medication or supplement. It could result in too much of it being released, at once, in your body. Since Vitamin C is also very acidic, it could also cause esophageal or stomach irritation that could result in ulcerations. Is there anything else I can help with? ## You could also dissolve the pills in a small amount of water if you are having trouble swallowing with water whole. Cutting them or crushing them is not a good idea. Could cause side effects and too much will be released at once. ## Yes you can with a sharp knife I do it myself with the 20mg time release I get! Just be careful because it is hard but not impossible! #...

It's white oblong and blank with just a line imprinted on the other side ## Hi beth, Based on your description, what you have is most likely a generic Norco tablet containing 10mg of Hydrocodone + 325mg of Acetaminophen, used for moderate to severe pain (NDC codes 27808-037, 50474-932). Where can I purchase Deliver 2.0 liquid Nutrition, please advise, thank you. ## From what I can find, in the U.S. and Canada this requires a prescription from a doctor, which means it would be purchased from your pharmacy, however, I don't have any pricing information. I would suggest contacting your local pharmacy about the availability of this product and how to go about obtaining a prescription for it. Additional information on Parenteral nutrition can be viewed in the link below: Has a doctor advised you to use this? ## Where can i obtain Glucerna powder in tin form from supplyer in George Town Penang. WHICH HAS BEST CHEMICAL CONTENT FOR B12 DEFICIENCY ## Well, I wouldn't use the term 'Chemical Content' exactly, but the FORM of Vitamin B12 that is best, according to some sources, is called Methylcobalamin B12. If you are having any neurologic problems, then Methylcobalamin is really a MUST- and there are some other benefits of Methylcobalamin. But it is a bit more expensive and if cost is an issue and you don't have neurologic problems, then any one is fine. Usually the least expensive brand is in the form of Cyanocobalamin. ## i feel numbness in my hands and feet every time i wake up in the morning. what would you suggest the best brand for a vitamin b supplement. thanks. ## Dear Sir My brother is sufferring from Leukemia since 4years. i have dark circles ,should i apply evion cream around my eyes area. ## It is just a cream that contains vitamin E, so while it isn't like to be harmful, as long as you don't get it in your eyes, it may not do much to help with the dark circles. The NIH also warns that it sometimes causes skin irritation in some people that use it. Are you on any medications? Are the circles due to a lack of sleep?

I am suffering from lower back pain due to posture problem since 2 years ## You can take it, as long as your doctor approves. It contains a muscle relaxant, Metaxalone, and a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, Diclofenac. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, dry mouth, and stomach irritation. Are you on any other medications?

Its probably a vitamin b12 I have a bottle I got at dollar general store. If you try break it in half it breaks easy and is yellow on the inside also ## I hope this doesn't sound rude in anyway, but if you have a bottle of vitamin B12 from the dollar store and suspect this to be what it is, why haven't you opened the bottle to check? Or was the bottle already empty? Have you also considered going back to the dollar store for any evidence? While it may very well be some sort of dietary supplement or vitamin, depending on where it's really from, this also fits the description of various pharmaceuticals from Mexico that bear no markings; including but not limited to the likes of hydrocodone/acetaminophen and cyclobenzaprine. Perhaps a lab analysis would be the best way to know ...

Im a pure vegetarian for the past 3 years... I'm a medical student now, my lecturer told me that prolonged vegetarian hv the chances of being defecient in vitamin B12... Therefore, i went to pharmacist and bought methylcobal 500 in tablet form.. Is it ok if i consume them?.. For the prevention... Will i be having any side effects because of taking without doc's prescription? ## Methylcobalamin is a Vitamin B12 supplement and is available over the counter, without a doctor's permission needed, in most countries, since it is not an actual medication. And, since it is a supplement, the side effect profiles for it have not been studied, as is done with prescription medications. However, some people do report some nausea, after taking them. It is also important that you don't...
