Visine Lr Discontinued? (Page 33) (Top voted first)

Having problems finding this product. Has it been discontinued and if so, do you know why?

i thought i was the only one addicted to VLR. i have found a replacement that works great. Walgreens has both/. first i use WAL-ZYR (itch eye drops) that make my eyes feel great. then I use Bausch/Lomb advanced eye relief redness. one drop of each, the latter being about 10 minutes after the wal-zyr. FANTASTIC. eyes feel great and are completely white. thought i'd share with my fellow VLR seekers.

i had been using vlr everyday for years. anything else made my eyes worse.

I AM STARTING MY 3RD WEEK WITHOUT THE VLR. I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO MISERABLE. I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE GETTING BETTER, NO IT'S NOT!

Just got off the phone with a Visine rep, and got the same story: The product is made in Belgium and was held up in customs. Distribution began again on Wednesday, May 19th, starting with CVS and Walgreens stores. It has definitely NOT been discontinued, and the rep said he gets many calls from people who all say it works better than any other Visine product. So it looks like we just have to be patient a bit longer. Relief is on the way.

CVS and Walgreens still do not have LR! They told me the same BS on the phone. Why can't they just tell us the truth.

And also people are selling it on E-Bay jacking up the prices really high. I have used every kind of eye drops you can think of even prescription nothing helps me but this .

Oh my goodness... fans of Visine LR unite. I've been using this stuff since the 90's!! Nothing else works at all. I actually found 5 bottles of LR at a Farm Market grocery store near me and purchased the lot of them. The cashier looked at me weird; but whatever. Here's hoping we see it soon. Those 5 bottles should last me awhile (well actually 4, gave one to mom).

I think we all need to be patient a little longer. It will take a while for nationwide distribution and restocking at the retailers to happen. I do think the company is telling the truth. Let's give it another week or two and see if the product starts to reappear.

I just hung up with customer service at Johnson & Johnson. I was informed that Visine LR is produced out of the country and there was a very large shipment held up in customs for several months. That shipment was released by customs last Wednesday ( 5/19) . The gentleman I spoke with said that the product will be showing up on shelfs at CVS and Walgreens any day now. He seemed to be right on top of this situation and it appears as if there is finally an answer to this whole mess.

For those of you, like myself, that are serious about getting/keeping VLR on the shelves, please send an email to the FDA and let them know that there is a nationwide shortage of this product. The FDA claims they do not know of any product shortage! [email protected]
