$5 bottle + $45 shipping = $50 for 1 bottle?????....It's cheaper on eBay.

Perhaps they can ship a bottle without the $45 'express fee'.

I can amend the petition to include the prices that ebay and amazon are getting for the remaining bottles of visine lr but I assure you that Johnson and Johnson have been told. I send them the links to the petition and this medschat weekly. I tend to agree with redeye in California that they probably don't care. On the petition I specifically told them to raise the price if they must but most importantly to bring the product back. This is why working within our capatilist society I am reaching out to other US companies. Imagine if more than one company produced eye drops with oxymetazolinr.

You guys are mighty brave using an eye drop from China with all the risk of contamination! My wife won't even feed our dogs Chinese-made rawhide chews after all of the reports of poisoned animals last year.

I'd be curious to see what others say about the drops they have ordered from the Zoamet, to the drops from China and now these drops that look like they are from Mexico? Oxylin Liquifilm ... I'm scared to order from what could be questionable sites, not just the concern of putting drops in my eyes. I guess I could always use a pay-per-use credit card to order. I'm waiting for the reviews folks!! I'm also contacting manufacturers here in the states to see what they can do for us. I just used my Visine LR and NOTHING compares to it. NOTHING.

I saw them online in south africa under Oxylin Liquifilm. I almost proceed to checkout but i don't have a credit card,so in my last hope i called my doctor... I have got the eye drops from my doctor yesterday and they work believe me! I think even better then visine LR and very long lasting too. Tried all the others from visine en nothing worked. Tried rohto and it helps for an hour but still had the itchy not awake look. With oxilin it's all gone. Fresh awake look,no more itchy ,tired and red eyes.My eyes look more open now,just like they did with visine LR. I live in the Netherland by the way...

I am thinking like you. I am a little hesitant to order from foreign countries and/or questionable websites so I will await to hear from our brave friends on this page. I know that some foreign countries produce excellent products but I also know others do not. We are all desperate, I understand. I can tell you, Amelia, that I saw the website where you bought your Zoamet eyedrops (alldaypills) one day and then when I went to the website the next day it was gone! I still cannot access it.

My response from Nancy Zhong was much the same, but a little different. She answered me with the following:

My mom and I are big fans of Visine LR and are very upset they took it off the shelves. So we tried different brands and the one you have to avoid is the ingredients with Tetrahydrozoline HCI0.05%..I found an eyedrop without that ingredient. It feels wonderful, just as good as the Visine LR. READY EVERYONE? It's by Bausch + Lomb Advanced Eye Relief (REDNESS) Maximum relief, its a redness relief and lubrincant. Purchased right at Walgreens. Good Luck!! Give me some feedback when you try it..Thank you.

I am seriously thinking about ordering a dozen bottles from the Peoples Pharmacy in South Africa. It will likely come out to around $15 USD per bottle after I factor in the shipping. I just need to make sure they are a legit company and that their EXPIRATION DATES are decent. The should also remove the VAT tax if shipping to USA.

Does anyone know if you can get an American doctor in the USA to write a prescription for Oxylin Liquifilm, or are these eye drops isolated to South America, China, Mexico, India, and the Netherlands?

According to a pharmacist in my HMO, she could not fill a prescription for Allergan eyedrops or liquifilm because it is made outside of the US. Now this is only MY experience so far and because of the holiday I haven't been able to pursue it more. I am in California. Where are you? Have you tried calling your pharmacist and/or doctor?

Yes, I just went to three pharmacies here in Michigan and they all said the same thing, so basically the only option is to buy a case (12) of eye drops from South Africa and then maybe post half of them on ebay to off-set the shipping. Plus, I would need to verify the expiration dates before ordering. Anyways, I'm not sure if I want to take the gamble.

I found eye drops with xylometazoline: otrivine antistin, also sold in the US. Maybe you can try them, I don't know, trying to help :)
