Viibryd Side Effects And Hair Loss

36 year old female, 2 kids(5 yrs. & 10 mos.) Had terrible post pardum depression and anxiety attacks. This medicine has helped me tremendously over the last 7 months BUT now my hair is falling out like crazy. Every time I wash my hair I lose like 20-30 strands. It is not as healthy as at was and much thinner. I started taking a women's multivitamin and a biotin supplement to help but I guess I am gonna have to call my psychiatrist and switch to another medication. Sucks because I don't want to have to deal with the emotional rollercoaster of adjusting to a new med. Anyone else seen the hair loss stop or does it just continue on this medication??

Yes, others have also reported the alopecia from taking Viibryd and no, it doesn't seem to stop, it tends to continue the entire time someone is taking it.

If this one is working well for you, I'd suggest asking your doctor to try a similar medication, then the transition might not be so hard and you may also get the same good results.
