It's not any more dangerous or risky to take than the Klonopin that you're already using every day and, as a matter of fact, in some ways it has less risks, because it isn't known to be habit forming and addictive, like the Clonazepam in Klonopin.

Have you spoken to your doctor about your concerns?
I have been on Viibryd for a year. I have found that I begin to get withdrawal as soon as 4 hours after I miss the time I usually take it. These include itching all over my body and shocks in my head. If I miss a day it's truly horrible. I get sort of hypomanic. Anyone else have this problem?
Many doctors for some reason at some point attempt to get their patients off of benzodiazapines, and replace them with seratonin uptake inhibitors , or any other new medication that promises to be less "addictive". Yet as Susan indicates in the second comment they are often eventually found to be more addictive or destructive. I went through this with Xanax as the SSRIs became popular, yet the SSRIs all caused problems, yet they kept trying to switch me. The worst side effect being lack of cordination and depth perception that could have had serious consequences while driving. Worst part is side effects dont manifest right away. Become aware of the side effects and if you experience any of them notify your doctor immediately. This way if they stubbornly insist that you continue to take the medication they become liable. When methamphetamine salts became popular they even tried to put me on those! Me any meth anything do not mix well. But you have no choice but to try it because youre not the doctor. Put the liability back in their court. You know your body better than anyone. I have to leave the US to obtain my chronic pain medication due to a double false positive which included 35 nanograms of marijuana. With prescription monotoring programs in place, the doctors are too scared and over react, but could it be because the Feds over react and attack pain doctors? It makes me wonder if they would rather have you on heroin to manage your pain. For those that cant travel out of the country, what choice do they have? For those that can, always declare your medications at customs and photocopy the presciption before you fill it!
